oy vey! our hot water heater kicked the bucket last night. not looking forward to the cost of replacing it. i had to come into work early and shower in the gym here and of course i forgot half the stuff i needed. not a fun way to start the day.

I think hot water heaters are a total waste of money, at least for us. We just moved, and this is teh first house we've ever lived in after 12 years in Asia that has a hot water tank, just sitting in a closet wasting our money keeping water hot. lol

So I turned it off and got tankless/on demand water heaters. I don't know if they're expensive where you are, but for us, they make a lot more sense.

That is not a great way to start the day. Hopefully you can get yours fixed or replaced without too much expense! I too have heard good things about the tankless water heaters.

we are getting gas to the house in the next couple years so we are replacing the same as we have for now. once the gas is hooked up we will be getting a tankless!
