Holiday parties | Pad Patter 12.9.16

I had 2 scheduled but had to cancel because of school. Hubby has one at work but it's awkward going as a couple so I usually don't go. New Year's I'm having my own party. Guest list: 0 Weird but I love New Year's and DH doesn't and goes to bed. I'm heading to a motel by the town's big New Year's party so I'll do some of that. I had ordered 2 festive sweaters that I figure will go through the winter.

Tonight is our church's Christmas banquet - good food and fun. Next Sunday night is their candle light service with finger food after (not really a party but friends + food = party?)

My daughter has had one set of parties of school and has another on Tuesday. I let her figure out what food to take.

My husband's old boss has a party hosted by her and her dog every year. The food is wonderful and we have gone so many times we now know her neighbors who are also invited. My hubby also gets to see old co-workers, so that is a fun time.

Might get together with friends to do something, but it will be informal.

Family party will be hosted by hubby's cousin. Not sure if a white elephant/gift swap is happening. Guess we will find out when we get to Ky. It is always fun to party with his family.

Now that you mention it... we don't have any Christmas parties to go to this year! What!?!? Hooray! Lol. I'm the same, I always have fun when we go, but I always struggle with what to wear. First world problems, huh?

We are hosting a small NYE party at our house though, so that'll be fun. Kids and adults, we'll play some cards, eat, drink, be merry and probably have a fire in the backyard. a couple years ago is snowed huge fat flakes while we were out at the fire and had snow drifts on our heads. It was so fun!
