Hi all. I'm new to these parts, drawn here mostly thanks to the Digi Files introducing me to a bunch of designers here and, now that peppermint is putting down roots, I think I'll have to jump in and start taking part.

I'm pretty new to the digi-scrapping world. I used to do some art journalling, so I used to hoard paper supplies, though I never used them for scrapbooking. Then I had my beautiful baby boy this past June and of course I need to scrap his adorable pictures. I really got started to work on a a baby book for him, which is still in progress, but I've been scrapping a lot of just album pages as well.

I'm almost tentative to join another shop's forum, because I already buy too many kits and I know I'll start seeing stuff (there already is stuff I want to buy here!) I MUST HAVE and well, I'm not exactly sitting on a pile of money. :)

But, I LOVE sharing my pages with people, so I'm risking hurting my pocketbook by joining.

When I'm not at home scrapping with my baby boy at my side, I work part time as an intern at my church (mostly from home) and part time as a library assistant at my public library.

I'm eager to get to know you all, so give me a shout back. What do y'all love most about digi-scrapping? Also, what the heck does BYOC stand for. I've done really well with all the digi acronyms, but I can't figure that one out! :huh

Welcome to TLP! You'll love it :)

BYOC = Build your own collab. The designers all make products using the same swatch so that you can mix and match and build a kit you adore. And the more you buy, the bigger the discount. It's pretty fab. :)

Hi there and welcome to the site :) - you are going to have a great time here! The challenges are awesome and you get a great discount coupon for participating, the more challenges you do the better the discount ;) which is great for spreading out the scrapping budget!

Hmm what do I love most about digi-scrapping? EVERYTHING! The community, the talented designers, the ability to throw a whole page out and not waste product, the ability to get up and cook dinner without clearing off my work space, the talented designers (hahaha I said that already!).

I know what you mean about not having to clean off your workspace! That was the hardest thing about art journalling. I never had a dedicated space for it, so by the time I got everything ready to go, I had to go so something else. Plus, no waiting for pages to dry!

You're going to love the Lilypad! Be sure to check out the designer's blogs and Facebook because many of them have freebies that they share in both places.

The things I love most about digi are being able to manipulate my photos to show EXACTLY what I want to, being able to adjust colors of items and the wonderful "undo" button so that I can move things around until I'm exactly sure!

Welcome to the lilypad! I was a paper scapper first and love the freedom of digi. It's quicker and easier, especially when your baby becomes a toddler. I still do some hybrid too though, combining the best of both worlds.
You should definately check out the challenges here, it's a great opportunity to get some pages scrapped and maybe score a discount coupon.

HI and welcome to the Pad! We're glad to have you here. :)

I've been digiscrapping for about 7.5 years. I think what I love the most is the flexibility. When I am working on paper or hybrid projects, I am always wishing for my recolor and resize features. It's so nice to be able to tint something to match or make 25% smaller. LOL

Welcome to the Lilypad! I love it here and I'm sure it will quickly become a second home to you!

My favorite thing about digi scrapping is I don't have to worry about ruining my supplies if I make a mistake. I can change the color of things, "cut" my papers, move stuff around and change my mind as many times as I want. With paper scrapping I was afraid to try things because once I cut or marked my paper I couldn't undo it. My perfectionism drove me crazy with paper scrapping. I've been digi scrapping for less than a year but I've made so many more pages than I did with paper scrapping.

Welcome to The Pad!! Happy to have you here! :beat

I was a (not-so-awesome) paper scrapper for many moons and I still enjoy playing with paper and getting crafty, but when I discovered digi 4.5 years ago I fell in love. It was like my creativity blossomed in ways it never had before. I think it's all because of the room to play, the flexibility, and the non-permanence...it suits my very slow and deliberate design style. I love how much control I have..over scale, color, details. My favorite part of scrapping is the Story and with digi I've found I have really embraced that even more.

Looking forward to seeing your pages!

Welcome to TLP!! It is a great place to hang out!

I definitely recommend the challenges for earning extra discounts on all the awesome supplies here.

My favorite thing about digi is the fact that the clutter is only on my computer and not all over my table :) I also love the flexibility and being able to use and re-use my favorite things and adjusting my photos and papers, etc.

Welcome to The Lilypad! You can never have too many kits. That's just crazy talk.

Which leads me to what I like best about digital: the fact that I can be a hoarder without all the judgment. Just stack those hard drives up!

Welcome to TLP! I just commented on your layout in the gallery. I agree what everyone else said about the challenges, It's an awesome way to get more TLP stuffs at a discount (and everyone needs more TLP stuffs...lol). I really hope you love it here, can't wait to see more of your pages.

What Peppermint said. :)

I'm pretty new around here too and I love it! TLP is the home to all of my most favorite designers. They are wonderful. :) What I like best about digiscrapping, I actually get pages done! Like many have mentioned I was always afraid to use up my favorite supplies or ruin them if I made a mistake. With digi, there is more freedom to play around, I can get more photos onto a page cropping the way I want, no mess to clean up, and the best part, l can REUSE all my favorite supplies!

Welcome and have fun!

Welcome to the LilyPad!! So glad you found your way over here. Hope you will jump right in and make yourself at home. I hope you will join us in the challenges. They really are a lot of fun and you can earn a discount at the same time. Can't beat that!

I started in paper scrapping too and was very hesitant about doing digi. I had the mind set that it "really wasn't scrapping" LOL. I have been ALL digi since 2008 and I wouldn't ever go back. I actually had a whole room, filled to the brim I might add, that was dedicated for the sole purpose of my paper scrapping. I was a consultant for a scrapping company and I really did enjoy it but it was the greatest relief the day I packed up that room and sold my stuff. Now I can scrap till my little hearts content and never have to worry with all the mess. I love it!! It's also a lot easier on the pocketbook than my paper scrapping was.

Welcome to TLP! You'll love it here! The designers here are the best of the biz in my opinion! :)

My favorite thing about digi? The undo button! :)

Welcome to TLP! I hope you'll love it here!
My fave thing about digi is the flexibility... Undo button, change sizes and colors easily, no mess, work on something here and there and save quickly, etc. so much easier than working with paper and adhesives for me!
