Heading to NYC... Help Needed

Hope y'all have a fun trip! I know nothing about NYC but moving from Alabama and being thrown into a Wisconsin winter..woo! Dress warm warm warm! Wear lots of layers. :)

everyone please tell Jen that she needs a winter coat for this trip!!!! sorry to put you on the spot. (insert evil laugh here!)

you girls are going to have so much fun! can't wait to see the photos and hear all about it. you are a brave southern girl to be making this trip in Feb! :)

Just so you feel better... got a 60% off winter coat from Kohl's today! So, now I need to make this trip every year :giggle

I'm from New York City. Welcome to our area tomorrow. Prepare for frigid temperatures. I hope you have a blast. I would take your daughter to Rockefeller Center. Id consider going to see St. Patrick's Cathedral. What about Central Park even though it's going to be freezing?

I'm still stuck on the fact that there are people who don't own winter coats. :giggle That doesn't compute in my world.

i know right! as i sit buried in snow here in upstate NY with nasty wind chill advisories. Karen, Jen was even bragging about wearing sandals the other day ... i was just looking at my weather app and plugged in CA and AZ ... 70's and 85's. its just not fair! i clearly live in the wrong part of the country.

We don't have much of a winter down here in the south. I have a wind breaker style jacket, and one sweater type jacket, that is it. Our winter wear is light jackets and the occasional scarf. Even when it's 40ish at night, it usually warms up during the day. February has been full of mild temps... 60F - 80F.
I remember as a child, we wore socks on our hands if by some freak of nature there was a dusting of snow. :giggle

With that said, I am glad Jen "splurged" on a jacket for the NY trip.

You will love where you live in a few months when we are sweltering in the triple digit heat.
