Well, have you? lol
When was it, what page was it?

If you've never been published, have you ever tried to be, or have you ever thought about trying?

I never submitted anything for publication. Part of it is I hate rejection :giggle, but mainly I just don't have the time/energy to look for calls, etc.

I have been published in digital publications, but I haven't yet gathered up the courage to submit for other magazines. I'm a complete chicken about it, truthfully. But I would love to be published one day so maybe one day I'll actually get the gumption.

There are quite a few published scrappers and superstars around The Pad though! :beat

I was SO lucky to get published in Creating Keepsakes last summer. I submitted a 2-page layout for one of their template challenges using all TLP products. Renee was also chosen for the same magazine, same challenge, and all TLP products too, so it was really fun to have us both in the same section!!

I was just published this month in the Artisan Notebook... I have 10 vacation pages in there and almost all of them are with TLP stuff. :) I also was published last year in the Somerset Digital Studio and that's "real" paper magazine so that was pretty awesome when that came in the mail. I am super lazy about submitting too though.

I've had several pages published in Scrapbooking Memories which is a 'real' magazine. One using Jacque's farm paper pieces is going to be published in one of the next editions :)

I saw all of these, they are fantastic! Congrats on getting so many into 1 edition!

I've been published a handful of times. Once in the Digital Artisan with Kaye's gorgeous goodies.
I've had a few layouts published in CK - a few 2-pagers. The most recent was in the April 2011 issue with TLP goodies.
I've also had a few layouts in Scrapbook Trends and another in Blue Media's Blueprints.
And once I had one of my paper layouts published in a doodling idea book. That feels like FOREVER ago! :giggle

I am really quite lazy about submissions, but every time I get a page requested, it makes me feel like I should be more diligent in submitting. Still, it seems life gets in the way... submitting can take quite a bit of time.

i have been published a couple of times... ;) it's super duper fun to open any magazine - online or in print - and see something you worked on there!

i think everyone should submit - seriously. even if you fear rejection, i can tell you that it's a momentous thing to even click the submit/send button. most calls take forever to hear back from anyway, so, often, people forget they even submitted!!!

if anyone ever wants any CC as far as submitting work goes, feel free to shoot me a PM - i'm more than happy to help give tips, in my experience, of what print mags (what few are left, anyway) are typically looking for to publish and ways to possibly help get anyone thru any challenges with submitting.

I have had work in a few e-zines, and just got pegged to be in an upcoming issue of Ginger scrapstreet's ezine... I also had a page published in Digital Scrapbook Magazine before they stopped... I framed that one! It was my first ever....

I've been published in digi and paper publications. By far, my most exciting one (like I almost hyperventilated at the mailbox because I didn't know ahead of time) was being a Featured Artist in Somerset Digital Studio.

I haven't had much time for scrapping or submitting lately, but I need to get back to it!

I've been published a few times. Twice in CK which to be quite honest felt like my biggest accomplishment. It had been a goal since I started getting the magazine like 10 years ago. A layout was recently re-published in their recent Digital Magazine too. That was a complete surprise. (republished from their sister publication Digital Scrapbooking.)

But the weirdest (and of course happy) publishing had to be Somerset Studios. I submitted a bunch of pages for the digital issue which did not get picked up. So I thought that was it until someone said they saw one of mine recently in their regular Somerset Memories. They never even notified me, lol.

I agree with Amy. Everyone should submit and submit and submit. There is some straight up talent here and you never know.

apparently i think im in there this month i was contacted about a layout i did and they said it would be in junes but as i dont buy it i dont know

How fabulous that we have so many published scrappers here, nothing beats seeing your work in print!

I've been published in the UK scrapbooking magazines, but never in any overseas ones. I was the digital 'expert' (that still makes me laugh!) for Creative Scrapbooking and a regular contributor to Scrapbook Inspirations. Both magazines have since ceased publication :( I have also written a series of how-to articles for The Scrapbook Magazine (the last remaining UK publication).

I had a paper layout published ages ago, and have often thought about submitting again, but I never seem to get around to it.

There are so many talented people here, congrats to everyone for being published, you have all inspired me to be more proactive in submitting.

It was so awesome to be published along side one of my nearest and dearest digi friends! We were like two giddy school girls!

Last winter I was also published in Canadian Scrapbooker magazine and I have a LO that will be published in the October 2011 edition of Creating Keepsakes. My three pages have all been published using TLP goodies.

I do have to say that those who are on the fence, go for it! You have nothing to lose. It is one of the most amazing feelings to get that confirmation email saying that they want your page and most of the time when you submit it takes so long that half the time you forget about it. My kids also thinks it's pretty cool that their pictures are in magazines. I also buy two copies of each... lol! AND Val even admitted to buying a copy just to see her stuff! It's soooo much fun!

Seriously!!!! Amy is THE BEST! I'm sure she was going to block my email from her computer 'cause I kept emailing her over and over again. But she's great and has the best advice. :)

I was published in Australian Scrapbooking Memories with all Sahlin Studio stuff. I don't know if the magazine is still around b/c I haven't looked lately at submitting anything. This is a great reminder to try again.
