Disclaimer: This is an American Holiday, but I'm sure some of you from other countries may have similar and I respect anyone who puts their life on the line in the name of freedom.

My grandfather, father and husband are U.S. Army Veterans and I appreciate the service of the men and women in our Armed Forces tremendously.

Happy Veterans Day to all of you who have served or have been military spouses or brats

Well said Jen. We have Remembrance Day which is more or less the same I think? Anyway, a huge thank you goes out to them all

In Canada it's Rememberance Day. My dad served in the Army Air Core and was a well decorated soldier who came home to his family. My brother-in-law was in Desert Storm and my nieces husband is in Saudia Arabia now. We are thankful.

Remembrance Day, as I understand it, is like the US Memorial Day. Veterans Day is about all veterans, not just those who died. That said, at least in the US, people get the two confused a lot.
