Happy Easter!!

giphy.gif

I'm sitting here waiting on the revolving door of family to begin. The 12 year old is already full of candy, the 26 year old is on his way here with his gf and their 2 girls, not sure about the 22 year old and her family yet. Going to be a busy day!! We all went to an Easter party and egg hunt yesterday. I'm making lasagna later today per request of the oldest. We didn't color eggs this year and I can't say I'm particularly sad about it :giggle. I think I have colored my fair share over the years. I'm hoping the middle of the day holds a nap for me lol.

What are your plans for the day??

Just doing yard work and trying to do a little scrapbooking in the rest periods. My son left two hours ago to head back to college. It will be a quiet day. I'm alone again after two weeks of kids home. Kind of sad, but trying to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Just an ordinary day here. I've made a scrapbook page and think I might make another.

My 11 year old son pulled off a great April Fools prank. He removed all the fruit and bread from the kitchen and hid it in his room. :rollin

Happy Easter. We've already had our egg hunt and the basket surprises. It' just our 6 year old grandson here. We also did bubbles, but it's hot outside and he doesn't to swim. (Go figure.) He's sitting beside me on his laptop and I'm going to try to scrap a little until dinnertime.

I would love to be doing a little yard work. It's still a tad chilly here. I did tidy up the front porch some. It's quiet here now. I'm in between the crazy. DS and his family have left, DD and her family are on the way.

:giggle That's funny!
My son and his g/f pulled a good one one me and the kids. They brought over these gorgeous "cake balls" that turned out to be chocolate covered Brussels sprouts :giggle They actually weren't too bad, the girls enjoyed them!

Sounds like a nice day :) The kids played outside for a bit a little while ago and now we are just resting up for round 2. I'm going to try to squeeze in a little scrapping!

Today is just a quiet day for us. Our kids and grandkids are scattered all over the place so it's just three of us here at home. I made ham slices and baked potatoes and cole slaw for dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert. And it's General Conference weekend for us so we have been watching that. Our oldest son did come to see us yesterday morning for a couple hours and that was so nice to have that time with him. But for today it's just my Honey and I and our daughter and our fur baby here. And that's okay. :) I just miss our kids and grandkids on days like today. They all live too far away to come see us though.

Just a normal Sunday here. Our Easter is next Sunday. The Greek church considers itself "holder of the ultimate truth" (add sarcasm sign here), so we celebrate Easter on a different date than the rest of the world. Our Christmas is normal though.
It's April's fool day here too, but if you are not a boy under 15 and you don't go to school, this day has no meaning. Until a decade ago, most newspapers would print a big fat lie on the front page, but ever since they print lies every day, so you can't tell the difference.

Quiet sunny day. Beautiful service this morning.
Son and DIL always go to her parents after church on this day so we 2 are hanging out. Once we move to their city in the next week or two, things are gonna change...And maybe, the Kuykendalls will get to have family night, vacations, etc then too!!:cheer:byay
:cloud9 So that's what I'm thinkin' about- that and NOT doing all the month's challenges in the first 2 days, LOL!!!

We had worship service this morning and I was in the nursery and got to play with baby Jonathan. We had a pot luck lunch afterwards and I got to play some more with Jonathan (4.5 months old). An older man told me I looked ready to have another child -- nope - grand babies, I need grand babies. Probably going to be years before that happens. We let our baby girl drive us home; she got her learners permit this past week.

Took second son back to university (he has 2 exams this week), took a nap, and now I am going to scrap if I quit chatting with you. :) Forgot to take Easter pictures when we were all dressed up. Oh well.

Oh, and I think I spied the nest of our neighborhood resident hawks. Now if they would just come visit my yard when I had the camera handy...

The sun is peeking its head out, yay. We just got back from dd’s house after a great meal, a fun game of Cranium and a few games of pool. We are ready to watch the Shape of Water (Netflix DVD’).

We don’t really eat that much candy but definitely had our share today. Sugar high.

Absolutely gorgeous sunny weather for Easter Sunday here in South Carolina! The temperatures hit 80 F, the skies were clear, everything was green and growing.

I spent the afternoon outside in the garden reading a book with the cats, and my dh made a yummy stew in the slow cooker. I started organizing some photos of a 2014 trip that I have put off scrapping....and I really do need to get down to it before I forget what we did!

Tomorrow is a busy day of undergraduate advising at work, so I am going to get to bed early. Happy Easter and Happy Passover to everyone who celebrates!

Sounds like a lovely relaxing day. Strawberry shortcake sounds wonderful!!

:lmao You win the internet with the part about the lies!
I always say that teachers are always totally thrilled when April Fool's and St. Patrick's Days fall on the weekend!! We lucked out this year with both of them being weekends!

Grandbabies are the best!! Play, spoil, and give them back!! I didn't get very many photos today, either and none of all of us. Too busy in the moment!!

I'm not much of a candy eater, either, but I had more today than I've had in the past year probably lol. Finally relax time here and I'm trying to decide what to watch right now :)

That weather sounds perfect!! I can't wait until it gets warm and stays warm here. Either that or I'm heading for SC!! One of my fav places!

Happy Easter!!

Ditto on the egg coloring...although I have missed eating them LOL! We hid the plastic candy coma eggs inside and outside this year and ran to Wally for some cat food; other than that we just hung out at home...perfect day!

We had a good Easter weekend here! The kids did an egg hunt at a local church yesterday and got lots of candy and stickers. We dyed eggs last night (my 4yo's first time) for the EB to hide, and the kids didn't wake up until 7:15 this morning (which is sleeping in for them!). They loved what they got in their baskets (thank goodness!) and we had double chocolate muffins before we went to church.

We went to my parents' afterwards for Easter dinner and ANOTHER basket for each kid from the EB. My 4yo will eat himself sick if you are not watching so the candy had to go up on top of the fridge so he would eat lunch.

We (and by we, I mean my husband and I) crashed when we got home & took a nap while the kids came down from their sugar buzzes. DH went out and got dinner, and then the kids had dinner, showers, and FaceTimed with their other grandparents before bed.

The BEST part is that I have TWO pictures with my kids BOTH smiling AND looking at the camera AT THE SAME TIME from this weekend! It's an Easter miracle.

Happy Easter LATE!!! I haven't felt the best all day. We had thunder "hail" this afternoon and it's freezing drizzle right now! Hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Easter! My day started at 5:30am! Lol! I'm in the church choir so we have an extra early service, called sunrise service that starts at 6:30am. Then we do regular services and 8:00 and 10:30 as well, with an Easter breakfast in the middle of the last two. Lots of time at church, but I LOVE Easter songs, especially when we get to close each service with the hallelujah chorus.

After all the church we went to my MIL's (with my Mom) and had a yummy ham lunch and then did an Easter egg hunt with my boys. It was a fun day, but I was super tired from getting up extra early! I was happy to hit my pillow last night!

Hope you had a lovely time. Listened to the church bells going mad. Saw a easter procession,on tv this year, instead of live in the street. Visited hubbys mother, ate biscuits and Easter cake, watched a comedy on Tv.

Happy belated Easter!! :) We had a super busy day hosting brunch (waffles with a toppings bar- SO fun!) with one side of hubby's family and then had dessert at an aunt's house with the other side of hubby's family! We had a weird few hours in between- so we went on a sunday drive & explored our town a bit! It was super fun!

Happy (belated) Easter! I totally forgot to come over her to greet everyone yesterday (and also forgot to buy some new goodies from the store - oops!). We were at church then over at my in-laws for the remainder of the day. Hope everyone had a fantastic day!
