Hanukkah Happenings?

So it is several days into Hanukkah now. Happy Hanukkah!!!! Who is celebrating? Do you do the gifts each night or no? Any yummies or recipes you can share?

When I was a little kid, I really wanted to become Jewish because my mom had a good friend (he was a photographer from New York) who was Jewish, and I'd hoped they'd someday get married. No luck. I still follow his Facebook page (Jews of Crown Heights) and learn so many interesting facts and things.

But on the less serious side, I had to listen to the latest Hanukkah song (V. 4) from Adam Sandler.

We talked about Hanukkah tonight with our kid. We don't celebrate it, but we want to raise him with an appreciation of all cultures and religions. So, we made latkes talked about the menorah, read some books, and played with the dreidal.

That's awesome! My daughter has always been interested in different religions, so she did a lot of research/learning and tried some different things too.
