Need some help here.

I have thick, coarse, curly hair and want to straighten it with something other than my Chi Flat Iron. I have been thinking about buying either of the following but don't want to spend anymore money on something that may or may not work better than my Chi.

Has anyone used either of these tools and what was your experience?

InStyler Rotating Hot Iron

or Conair Infiniti Pro Spin

I have super curly hair. From what I can tell in the picture, it's about as curly (maybe a bit more) than yours. People can't believe it when I them! lol. I hate it!! It's just a tangled, frizzy mess when it's curly. I've tried similar products to what you've posted here, but they just seemed to make it frizzy. The only way I can get straight, smooth hair is to use a large roll brush to dry it and then use my flat iron on it. I used a Chi for years and then I discovered Paul Brown irons. It gets hotter than a Chi and it never catches and pulls my hair like my Chi sometimes did. I love it! You can snag one on Ebay for around $85 - $90. Let me know if you find something else that works well. I'd give it a try if it simplified my routine!

From your photo...your hair is gorgeous! Everyone tells me that they wish theirs was curly. It's the old saying: Those that have want something else. But mine is ridiculously curly and FRIZZY! AUGH! I have a big ol' roll brush and I have to section my hair off and get it dried that way. It's just a pain! LOL I'll look into the Paul Brown irons. Thanks :)

I got a Keratin Complex treatment in May...it's not cheap...but OMG it was soooo nice. Seriously even though I got the "short" one (as my stylist calls it) my hair now is less frizzy than before and straightens outs so much easier.

Add me to the curly and frizzy list! My stylist wanted me to try the Keratin treatment too Brynn, but I couldn't afford it last time. I am thinking about trying it though. She swears I'll love it. I'm kind of afraid I will love it and then I'll have to keep doing it! :)

I'm getting the Keratin treatment today and had one 2 months ago. It did make a big difference in the feel & look of my hair. And...I purchased the Conair Infiniti Spin Brush yesterday at Walmart. I used it this morning and it did a good job. My hair is straight but has a a few big curls at the ends. DH was sleeping in this morning when I left so he didn't see it but 2 of the guys I work with has already mentioned that my hair looked nice today and wanted to know where I was going. Hahahahaha!!!!

My hair naturally curly as well. I have the Instyler am pretty happy with it. I don't use it everyday though only sometimes.
