It's the 4th of July Week here in the US and I've got BBQs and fireworks on my mind. We will be celebrating with extended family and grilling up some hamburgers and hotdogs and watching the fireworks on the 4th.

I love grilling season because it means I don't have to cook because my hubby grills up dinner outside! It's my favorite time of year! I love it all - hamburgers, steaks, chicken, hotdogs, kabobs, ribs, etc - if you grill it, we'll eat it... hehe!

How about you... does your family grill for the 4th of July or like to grill when the weather is nice?

I love grilling year round too!! We go out to the lake house for a long weekend (We're actually headed out tonight until next sunday!!!) and plan meals for the holiday- this year we're doing steaks one night, hamburgers/hotdogs another, smoked sausage & pizza on the bbq! We use the grill a ton because it free's up the oven! :D

We grill every chance we get! Love it in the warmer month since I don't have to turn on the oven then haha. We grill anything from steaks, chops, chicken, shrimp, brats, sausage to hot dogs.

We love anything grilled. We saw some "blooming onions" on Food Network Sunday and I reminded DH that he used to make those all the time. When we lived up north, he would shovel a path through the snow to grill food.

Living in the UK we don't grill for the 4th but my family love a BBQ! Slightest bit of sunshine and one of us is suggesting a BBQ... We had one today as a matter of fact :)

We're grillers and smokers! We smoked and made pulled pork this weekend for a BBQ - YUM! Tonight is hamburgers and hot dogs with friends. Love steaks, seafood, my grilled veggies and pizza too! We've even smoked a dessert of Candied apples! SO yum!

I wonder if DH would grill if I shoveled a path through the snow to his grill... hehe!

My hubby wants a smoker too! We were going to get him one and then he decided to get a jeep wrangler... maybe he'll get a smoker next year.

I'm spoiled I have an indoor grill built into my gas range ... it's a bit messy so I don't use it all the time ... but I love to grill. However I'm the only one that grills indoor or out. My husband makes 2 things: pasta w/jar sauce and PB&J sandwiches. LOL. Or he'll graze on fresh fruit, yogurt and veggies.

But yes, I love to grill. When we only had an outdoor grill, I wouldn't hesitate to grill in snow or rain either!

Well, at least you know he won't go hungry... :giggle

Grilling season! That makes me laugh! We grill all year, even in the snow in the middle of winter. Somewhere I have a picture of my husband grilling after he had to shovel 2 feet of snow off the patio. NO kidding! Everything tastes better cooked on the grill.

2 feet of snow - now that's dedication! And you're right, everything tastes better cooked on the grill!

I am the griller in our family. Ours is on the front porch since it is covered and I can use it in the rain. I have an electric grill (George Foreman) so it is kind of cheating, but it does give a nice blackened stripe to things. I usually don't grill during the winter.

We like to grill hamburgers, turkey burgers, brats, hot dogs, and squash (zucchini and yellow summer squash). Eggplant is also good on there. I also grill onions if we are making a meat.

We are going a friend's house for July 4th and need to take our own meat for the grill. I am thinking some brats (pre-cooked at home by boiling) and then just roast the outside when we get there.

Well...my husband will grill all year long so it's a good thing we live in California. Even when it isn't nice out he will grill. He's been known to take the Weber into the garage and grill. Also, he will not grill on anything but a charcoal grill. My mom even purchased a Weber for her house so when we grill there he doesn't have to use her gas grill. He says that's cheating. Haha!

We bought a grill in 2002 for my daughter's first birthday party. In the following decade + a few years we used it maybe 5 more times. I finally sold it a few years ago. We don't miss it. :shrug

oh yes, we love to grill zucchini in a foil packet with butter or olive oil and Montreal steak seasonings. I've never heard of boiling the brats ahead of time, but I'll tell hubby so he can try it!
