I've decided to switch to green smoothies for breakfast. I am looking for some new recipes to try. Is anyone here a regular green smoothie person with yummy ideas? How do they work for you - good results?

i really like dr. oz's recipe too - that's the first one i ever tried and i come back to it often.

i also LOVE adding pineapple to my green smoothies. i will usually take the basic dr. oz recipe and add pineapple and kale to it (we had a LOT of kale this summer from our local farm share LOL) ... i do both blender smoothies and also using my juicer, depending on my mood. if i'm using my juicer, i may add in a carrot too - or whatever is lying around ;)

i like using apples, pears and pineapples as my fruit much better than using berries ...

Oh, I might try that Dr. Oz one...

I've been making...
2 cups almond milk
2 cups frozen berries
2 cups spinach
2 bananas

Four years ago I had a neighbor who tried living "raw" and was also a vegetarian. she introduced me to green smoothies and I have since purchased a VitaMix blender. The thing I like about the smoothies is that you can put ANYTHING in the blender. I tend to stick with spinach, frozen bananas, and blueberries. We always freeze whatever fruit is in abundance and then later add it to our smoothies.

I was on a green smoothie kick a couple years ago and had one every morning. I am hoping to get back in the habit again this coming year. I never was one to follow a recipe though...instead it was whatever fruit was available in bulk, some greens, about a cup of water and blend. I also made a big enough batch for three days, and just stored it in the fridge.
