Good news! Hubster's biopsy came back cancer free.
Things with son have turned around and things are getting back on course.:happydance

So, this week is pretty important for our family. We've been through one of the roughest times ever in past month. DS & DIL are currently shutting us out due to an issue we had. We are praying for a change of heart.
Today Hubster had a Dr. appt regarding the damage to his ankles in the Army. Looking like surgery is in the near future. Friday Hubster has a biopsy on his thyroid. Cancer is rampant in his biological family. Dr. says that "if you have cancer, this is the best kind." Because it has 95% chance of being removed in thyroidectomy. This would require 2 weeks out of work, which the school he teaches at does not provide. Not to mention that our son does not know this is happening. DH is really torn up over it. He is trying to be brave and strong, but I know in the back of his mind that he thinks of his bio-father who died from brain cancer, and really wants his son with him. :cry DD had car accident in Dallas this past week and totaled her car. Thankfully doesn't seem to have any injuries. :angel

wow that is a lot to deal with even without the previous relationship issues - i'm so sorry and wish i could help. i do have a friend that had a thyroidectomy a few years back and her doctor said the same thing and she has been all clear since then but the worry can be worse, especially knowing his family history. Keeping you all in my thoughts and sending virtual hugs! :glomp

Thanks, Justine & Monica. My sister had the same surgery last year and she seems to be doing well. Not sure how we would deal with the time off, we are in need of a vacay and using all his time off+ would make that really difficult. But God will make a way.

sorry i can only offer sympathy - having to choose btwn spending money on health or a holiday is really difficult and full of guilt and all kinds of emotions even if it's an essential medical expense!

So sorry to hear of your troubles and heartache, Amanda. I was so hoping that you had patched things up with your sn and DIL after the baby was born. My goodness, not to even know the baby was in the hospital??? Sending prayers and virtual hugs to you and your hubby too. That stinks that he doesn't get the time he needs off. :bk:bk
 
Oh goodness! That is so much to being weighing heavy on your heart! I pray that your prayers are answered and you find some answering and resolution with you DS and DIL and for you Hubby's health and time off.

I couldn't agree more.:heartslub I will update when we have results from the biopsy that is to be done tomorrow. As for the other, trusting God for the best. He has a way of making crooked places straight. :heartlub
 
Sorry to hear about your unfortunate events that have created havoc in your life. Sending virtual hugs your way and hoping the biopsy results are good news.
