got my camera back from the repair center

I was so glad to see that there was a Canon repair center close by me so I took my camera & favorite lens about 2 weeks ago. They both needed repair & I have been lost without them. I finally picked them up yesterday after work & I am so super crazy excited they are working!!!:yippee
 
I'd be lost 2 weeks without my camera! Yay for getting them back!! :happydance2
 
So glad you have them back. I just sold all my gear and I am having to use my ancient rebel right now and it's about to kill me. I am not taking as many pictures and that stinks.
 
Alli - YAY! so happy you have your camera back!! :)

Amanda...?? you sold all your stuff? :( So sorry. I can't imagine going back to a rebel after "seeing the light" with my newer camera.

Yes. I am switching to Nikon. Now I just have to sit and wait for it to come back in and it's killing me being without a camera. I think my kids are glad that they get a break for now but they better enjoy it because I have a lot of catching up to do when it arrives.
 
I know just how you feel Amanda, although I sold my Rebel so I didn't even have that to use! I have been using my camera on my smartphone which is fine but nothing even close to the same thing. I am dl'ing photos right now from Venice Beach that I took today & I am crossing my fingers they look good. Everything felt "fixed" while I was using it today. They replaced the entire autofocusing system in the camera.

Well, I am hoping with you that they turn out great and you don't have to be without it anymore!
 
Oh Amanda :( that's so tough. I'm sorry! I WISH I could sell my Canon, the focus on it is so crappy (I have the 5dmii) BUT I can't make the switch to Nikon because of the lenses. I could sell all my L lenses and be close to breaking even but as crappy as my Canon's focus is there is nothing like an L lens. I used my neighbor's Nikon with the 85 1.4, which is a great lens but the quality isn't anywhere near the Canon's (imo) L line. I am praying that the 5dmiii (whenever it comes out) has a better focus stystem. The 1d will never be in my budget so holding out hope they do a better job with the next camera.
