I live in a small(ish) friendly town, so I always stop if someone needs help. Yesterday a guy was trying to push his car (with gf/wife and a child inside) back into a parking lot/up a hill.
I pulled over and he said they just needed a jump start, but I said it would probably be better if we pushed it back in a bit since it was sticking out into the road.
We got the car back up and jumped and them on their way, but not before I lost my footing in the gravel on the side of the road and split my knee open.
I'll spare you the photos, but it looks like someone took a box cutter across my knee. Not deep enough to need stitches or anything, but deep enough to wake me up every time I moved last night.
I tired.
