Lots of my designs are nature inspired. The pastel colors of this BYOC palette reminded me a bit of a serene morning... and Gökotta was born. Well, not exactely immediately, since it took me weeks to create it since I only have designing time when I'm off work and have no family obligations, but you get what I mean.

Gökotta is a Swedish tradition, of getting up early in the morning and go birdwatching and having a picnic usually in springtime, especially around a Christian holiday. People would go for a hike in the forest or gather in parks early in the morning, for socializing and eating, while listening to the spring birds, mainly the cuckoo (gök). With creating this collection, I took the creative liberty to elaborate on the concept of Gökotta as the conscious act of rising early to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, the silence, the serenity -and to hear nothing but the birds.

Here are some gorgeous layouts by the Polly's and my CT!
Have a wonderful weekend,
hugs, Maaike
