So next week we are off for a long weekend in London and since we've already done the entire tourist thing before I was hoping for some inspiration for things to do and see.

We have a musical booked (The Lion King), a guided Jack the Ripper tour and will must likely head out of London for a Harry Potter tour but apart from that I'm a bit unsure of what to spend our time on. Of course I'd be more than happy to just grab a sandwich at Pret and people watch for hours at Hyde Park but perhaps we should try and do something else :D

So bring me your best London tips :thumbsups

oh I would say a boot sale? I went thrift shopping in Scotland...met the most magnificent people, even shared tea with them.

The V & A museum is pretty cool (and it is free). I'd also say just travel around and try out the tube and see what you can find just exploring. Or you could hop over to Oxford. And when I went to Wroxton for a school residency, I tacked on an extra day and found a bus tour from London that took me to Bath, Stonehenge and a couple of other stops over the majority of a day. It was nice.

I'm totally jealous and sooooo in the mood to travel. I was just talking to my daughter about wanting to get the Groupon trip to Ireland, but I don't think it is in the cards at the moment. *sigh*

I ll message you my numbers, if you let me know in advance the dates so I can drive, I can take you to see Parliament Hill (the highest point of London where you can see the whole city from Hampstead Heath, the natural forest- (biggest in north London) We live in Camden which is where the Camden Markets & the Regent Canal are, so I can take you around there, there is also the Round House there, where the iTunes Festival happens, is very colorful all around and I think you will get a LOT of inspiration for drawing too, plus amazing photos-

We saw the Lion King two weeks ago, funnily enough with one of my very first scrappers friends who was over from Canada!!!
If you have the time (and money) I would NOT let Wicked escape your schedule if you like musicals......

Has someone told you about the Emirates cable car? is a fly high up crossing the river around the docks, we havent been to yet nbut lots of my friends say is absolutely amazing......

You can, of course, come over for dinner or coffee to ours, Sarita is traveling next week so unless you are here Monday you wont meet her, but I would be delighted to drive you around here if you tell me which day you prefer :).

oooohhhh.... I'd love to go! Have fun!

I am so sorry I never got back to you. I thought I would have plenty of chances to do it while traveling but my phone stopped working (my brand new phone which I got because it would work abroad)

Lion King was awesome - so was Harry Potter world and we ended up spending the rest of the time just walking the streets of London which was hard on the legs but good for the soul. :)
