The thread about scrapping 50 pages made me wonder, does anyone set a goal for the amount of pages you want to scrap? I know with MOC in January, there was a lot of 31 page goals. So, I wonder if you set a goal for other months?

I haven't, but since I'm more likely to focus on getting pages done more often with a goal, I'm considering it.

Definite goal for a busy month is 6 -- the challenges and there have been months where I didn't make it. This month I should sit down and count what my goal is. I have bit and pieces I want to finish up. But I'm pretty sure it's not close to 50!

My "30 wishes for 30" had a layout goal of like 300 or something. Originally it was 200, but when I looked at the number of pages I completed in the past 9 months, I decided 300 was not unreasonable. It works out to a little less than one a day for a whole year. I don't usually scrap that way, but certainly some days I can whip out 3 or 4, so.... my goal for the year is 300, and I've already done 40 or more. I'm not stressed about it. :)

I don't ever specify a number goal, but in general I try to stay fairly "caught up" My most specific goal is that I have scrapped summer and hopefully through Christmas before a new summer starts. I scrap a TON more in the fall and winter and then I take more pictures and do more things in the spring and summer. Then I spend the next fall and winter trying to get caught up again. :) Currently I am more "behind" than usual, but I think I scrap best when I have some self imposed pressure to caught closer to caught up.

I NEED A GOAL for 2016 to get my sister's wedding my son's wedding and my daughter's wedding completed and books printed.
I should split the year up and give myself 4 months for each wedding.

I aim for the 30% discount (ie 6 challenges) plus maybe the extra one to qualify for the drawing for the guest spot.

I've never set a number. My scrapping goal for 2015 was to scrap every Sunday. I started off great, but missed a lot of the summer. For 2016 my goal continues to be to scrap every Sunday, but I'm also aiming to scrap "more than one page each week." Thanks to MOC, I got that off to a great start. And last week I made 4 pages, though they were all in the weekend.

Oh my goodness! 300 seems so big! But you are right, divide it out and it's not so many per day/week.

If you were all caught up you would have nothing to scrap right? :giggle I love that self imposed pressure works for you too!

This is a great goal! Timeline instead of focus on the amount of pages. And if you do 4 months apiece, they will be done before Christmas season!

You gals have your priorities straight! 6 for a coupon!:shopping I love that you can pick 7 of the 8 now for a Polly spot chance!

Believe it or not, for several years, I set a goal (and exceeded it) of 600 pages a year. But that was in the days when I was going to several Th-Sun retreats a year and going to monthly Fri & Sat crops plus scrapping on my own at home. I have a page completion worksheet that I use to track pages done and just writing on that helps to keep track.

Then I started doing template converting for designers (psd > page files) and my actual scrapping took a nosedive. I'm shooting for at least 300 pages this year. But what I really want is to get specific projects completed and printed.

600?!?!? That's amazing! I love it!

a realistic goal...7 pages/month (aka the challenges)
A goal is a goal, no matter how big or small!

Wow @klee73010 - I'm impressed. That's a lofty goal. I don't really set goals in terms of number of pages, more like I want to get this done by two weeks from now. With so many goals and deadlines at work I don't want to feel like I'm driving myself with scrapping, although I always have a goal to finish the monthly challenges and definitely the MOC.
Now I set a goal to comment on at least five pages as soon as I log in each day before I get lost reading all the forums.

I never set a scrapping goal. Just try to stay caught up with my paper PL and do the challenges here :)

I've never really set a scrapping goal. It's more creative, so I think that might adversely affect my scrapping by putting must do things on my list. I would like to create more double layouts for my challenge layouts, but that isn't really a goal. lol!

I guess it would be helpful to know that I came up with my number based on challenges I intend to complete. 31 for jan, plus 7/month for 11 months = 77, so just for TLP, I intend to have 108 in one year. I'm on 3 different full time CTs, which means about 7 more/month, so approximately another 85 or so. My goals for the year also included a monthly highlights spread, so 24 more, as well as my own project 1616... probably another 12-24. All together, that was already more than 200, (which was my original number) and knowing I have a few projects I hope to finish up, 300 wasn't that much of a stretch.

My point being. If you look at what you plan to accomplish in the year, you scrap more than you think you will. :) and if you don't make it, meh. Not that stressed about it. I will still have a plethora of told stories! :)

My "goal" is to scrap one page per day, but that usually doesn't happen. I am so far behind in my scrapping that I'd need to scrap 3 pages a day in order to catch up. I'm finding I'm taking less photos so I have less I need to scrap, which I don't like. But it's the truth!

Plus, I'm trying to "re-scrap" four annual photo books that I have printed copies for but no more digi-files when I lost my EHD a few years back. I had only printed ones for me, not for the kids yet. At least I have the hard copies to use for reference, for the journaling if nothing else.

That's an impressive number of pages!

I don't think I have that many photos left to scrap! My kids are no longer willing subjects. I think I will be going back through my paper pages and re-doing them digitally. I also need to organise my layouts and see what gaps there are going back over the years. I don't scrap chronologically and I have only ever kept them in folders according to the store I made them for. That is a huge job in itself!

I don't have a goal because I tend to fail them :) Just my nature. I have about 3 projects I'd love to get printed this year so maybe that will be my goal!
