anyone else ever rec'd a message from gmail (a legit one - nothing phishy) that their account had been accessed from somewhere out of the norm (in my case, it was indonesia)??? i changed my pw, checked through all my settings and updated as necessary... haven't seen any emails shooting out where they don't belong. ugh.
 
ugh... yah my pws aren't easy... i wonder if there's any connection to accessing via mobile stuff (ie phone). did you for yours? maybe not.
 
I once had someone using my gmail account (talktoheather) as their email. they were sending and receiving emails through my account. about trips to paris... wish i were the one going. it was totally awkward. i changed my password and it stopped. but the people were still messaging him for a while. concerned because they had not heard from him.
 
eeep! I'm curious now because I've not had any mails coming to my gmail account lately. Which is odd.
 
ive gotten wierd ones from other people accounts that didnt come from them, but not from my account
 
you know how you can tell if someone really DID access it is, on the bottom of gmail it has a view IP address thing ( not sure if it still does)
you can see if anyone has accessed your email with a different IP than yours and what times!
it usually will tell you if its your home IP
but i think it only goes back so far
this was how i knew my sister was using my email account to email her secret boyfriend LMAO
 
Yikes! That's so scary! My email is my link to the world, it'd be horrible to have to change accounts due to something like that! I hope you don't have anymore problems like that again!
