Girls Night/Day/Weekend

I have a GNO tomorrow, and I'm so excited! I don't have many of these often, but it seems this month, I will have some fun girly time! More often than not, we are hanging out with other couples, heading to dinner, or staying in playing games and hanging out. Don't get me wrong, I love those nights, but sometimes a GNO is what I need!

Tomorrow we are headed to my family's shore house (in the winter, lol!). The "we" being my my closest friend, Kari, and 2 more good friends from our neighborhood. We are going to go out to dinner, watch a band for a bit, and then hang out either at the house or at the bar across the street for a bit. It works out perfectly, so we can walk home, and not worry after a couple adult beverages. I'm excited. No Boys! :giggle And... we get to sleep uninterrupted!

Then next week, we have a Tricky Tray for my oldest son's school. I will be on my best behavior there - not that I'm bad anyway - but many are sadly very judgmental people. I live in a great neighborhood, but apparently since I don't live in the nicest section, no need for a nanny, and I don't pick up my kids wearing things off the runway, it's looked down upon. (We moved and continue to stay since we needed the schools/IEP solutions for my oldest son, plus I love my little neighborhood of peeps - hard workers, friendly, down to earth, it's the rest of the snooty peeps I could leave behind).

So, what about you? Do you have regular GNO's with friends? Weekends? Day trips? What do you do? I would love to go see a play on Broadway or maybe a weekend trip somewhere cool, but I'll take a night too!

I'm so excited I could pinch myself! (yes, I'm a dork!)

I don't really have nights out but once a year I meet two friends for four days and we hole up in a hotel, watch chick flicks, and scrapbook!!!!

Yes! We happen to be going away next weekend to the coast..it'll be all rainy and gross but who cares. After the last few months I've had with my daughter, I'm SO ready for a break. Matt can cater to her for a few days!

My oldest grandson just called me and said he was coming over this weekend! I'm so excited - he lives on the east coast of FL and we live on the west coast. See, when you get old, you get excited about people coming to see YOU. :byay:byay:byay
 
Every once in awhile, I have a GNO with my mom and sister. I would love to have more but I don't have a lot of local GFs. I'm working on it, though!

That sounds amazing, Jenn! I could so use something like that! It's been way too long! We talk about it a lot, but never get it planned. Maybe I need to get it together!

Every once in a while I'll get together with friends for dinner but that's about it. I've never had a weekend or night away.....BUT next weekend my 2 older girls and I are going to a homeschool convention for 3 glorious days and 3 nights - just us! No little kids. They are 13 and 15 and great girls and I'm so excited to have some time with just them. We are going to go out to eat, stay up late, we'll probably go to a movie, etc... I'm so excited. I've never done anything like this with my girls...it's about time!
 
@IntenseMagic You're not too far away I think... though for some reason, I always think Florida first, when I know that is not the case! All the east coasters should try again this year to meet!

@Scrapping with Liz That sounds like so much fun, and such a great time for you all! I'm excited for you!
