Does anyone watch Ghost Adventures or any ghost shows?

The hotel has cable, and I honestly haven't had any type of cable tv in about 4 years. It just wasn't something we spent money on. I started watching a few ghost shows on hulu, but the travel channel plays hours of this Ghost Adventures show.

Tonight's show is really freaky... they are on an island in Italy, the last show was the house where 6 kids and their parents were murdered by an axe in 1912. They are some of the most active ghost shows I've seen and I'm thinking turning them off is the best option, yet I am mesmerized. They just showed one of the guys being possessed. It's terribly convincing.:scared

A friend of mine is doing a documentary in a class she's in and they are doing ghost hunting. I could never EVER do that I don't think.

I just wanted to know if I was the only crazy one to watch these kind of shows. It's funny since we've been house hunting, b/c I now really want to know the history of any house we buy and I'd definitely pick a new build over any kind of older house.

When I watch those ghost shows nothing seems to happen,I went on a ghost hunt twice the first time was an old castle and they sat you in a room in the dark which apparently was the haunted part with a physic there saying that the spirit was there playing etc I didn't feel anything but my god I was crapping myself especially the part when the physic was saying show yourself I was thinking please don't ha ha so I'm still on the fence and dunno if I believe

I love Ghost Hunters! Some of the other ones feel more fake to me. I like that Ghost Hunters tries to debunk and if there is mothing there they will say so. It is a fun show, and yes i've often thought I would be cautious when moving about the history of the house. Not something I want to mess with.

I once watched an all day Ghost Hunters marathon with my daughter over a college break. Definitely freaky stuff!

I totally believe! I watch Ghost Hunters all the time, but haven't seen that Ghost Adventures one you're talking about. I also like that they try to debunk, like don't try to make that there's something there if there isn't, right? But I'd be freaked watching it alone in a hotel room! LOL!

Ghost Adventures is just 3 guys, and they also debunk. Like last night, they'd show an orb that would literally go out (or in) the back of one of the team member's head. They'd say it wasn't dust and show what the dust looked like. They also had a possible possession in last night's episode in Italy. I'm on the fence about that, but it looked pretty real. They guy was standing there and just changed over and started screaming at his teammate...it was freaky, real or not.

I have only watched a couple (celebrity ghost stories or something), but I hate watching scary stuff.

For almost a year (99-00) I lived in a house that was haunted though. Totally totally creepy. It wasn't like crazy scary extreme stuff, but it was freaky, and I never wanted to be alone there. You could hear things, like a child sniffling and/or like they were mouth breathing because they were stuffed up. There was one bathroom in particular that you would really hear the little kid. Especially early in the morning, you would hear it outside the bathroom door. Or hear things moving in the kitchen when no one was in there. It sounded like someone was walking around or moving dishes. My mom was living with me at the time and she felt like she was pushed from behind (she actually fell) in the storage room. That room just felt creepy even before that. She had a computer in there and it was always acting up. She heard a little kid saying "mom" a lot. You know how when you are about to bump into someone and you feel them before you actually touch them? There was a lot of that there. You'd be in a room alone, but feel like you were running into someone. The cat always freaked out and would run as fast as she could, with her ears down. I'd see stuff out of the corner of my eye a lot. The last major thing that happened was when we were talking about moving. We heard a loud bang. We went in the other room and there was a canister jar on the dresser (the kind with the glass lid that gets clamped down for storage. The top/glass lid was shattered like someone was mad and had slammed something down on it. But the rest of the jar was intact and it was still standing upright.

A couple of weeks before we moved, my mom got a call from an old friend. She was telling him about it and he freaked out because he had been having dreams of someone that was dead and needed help passing over but he had no clue where to go. It was a young guy named Caleb that was in his dreams. He ended up coming to our house and talking to Caleb, and after that, we didn't have anything else happen. I was totally glad to get out of that house though.

I would totally freak out living in a haunted house!
