Getting out of my truck FAIL

The stars were in alignment today....

So I drove over to pick up 2 of the kiddos at a friends house (i drove because it was pouring rain)....

I was wearing those crocs that look like regular ol' sandals....

I get out of my truck and proceed to slip on the step down and fall straight on my arse and elbow! You know one of those graceful slips where it knocks the wind out of you... yeah.... that.

they don't call me Grace for nothin! :P

eta: the graceful fall happened when i got back home, in the privacy of my garage thankfully! :P

Oh no Lauren - I hope you are okay?! Did you do the quick "look around to make sure no one saw that" move?!
 
yeah i'm okay, my lower back and elbow kill, but i don't think anything is broken *snort*

i actually didn't do the look around cuz i was in my garage thankfully!... this happened when i got back home from getting them, TG! :P

Ouch!!! That sound awful, Lauren. As a short and clumsy person, I'm glad I don't have to get in out of trucks too often!
 
Sounds like something that would happen to me. I'm full of grace as well. :)
 
Glad you are okay and that your fingers can still rock the keyboard and mouse.
 
Oh my goodness! Garage floors can be really slippery when wet. Dd did the same thing getting out of our van a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I was right next to her and had a moment of super-mommy reflexes and managed to catch her before she hit the floor. Normally I'm not that coordinated. :p Hope you're not too banged up!!!

renee, no tom to kiss anything... he's out of town.... and he'd probably be laughing his butt off at me and shaking his head! hee hee thankfully jessica saved the day with an icepack for my elbow... those kids come in handy!
 
ouch! that stinks! i've taken my fair share of wipe outs on a slippery garage floor. landed straight down on my knee cap once... no fun. i'm glad you're not seriously hurt. hope the bruising and soreness go away soon.
 
Geesh! I hate it when that happens! Glad you're ok... could have been a lot worse!!

Me? I always manage to do some crazy stunt right out where EVERYONE can see it! Never fails!
 
OUCH! I had the incredible grace to fall down the stairs and wake up the entire house a month or so ago, so I feel your pain. While it hurt physically, the pride hurt worse ;)
