So, for anyone who knows me well, I am NOT a crafty person. Scissors and paint scare the crap out of me. I have never even been a paper scrapper. BUT, when I came across this project on Pinterest, I thought I could give it a whirl.

So for a fun project for March Break, I decided to try this with my kids. I chose a fun quote for them that I knew they would like and let them do the rest. I did the letters. They had a blast doing it. They thought it was the best craft! lol! I wanted to make myself one but I didn't get a chance to cut out my letters but that being said I know what I need to make mine better.
Here are pics of our process:

Step #2:
Step #3:
Step #4: DONE!
It didn't turn out perfect and the letters didn't show up as much as I would have liked but I kind of knew that given the colors they chose. My inner perfectionist wanted to tell them that they should have picked lighter colors, but I wanted them to have a project in their room that was completly them. I can't wait to do mine now.
They are so proud of themselves. Thanks for letting me share!
p.s. If anyone would like to try this let me know and I can let you know what I learned not to do next time.
