Are you growing anything this year? What is it?

For my opposite hemisphere crowd, Did you grow anything?

And for my Over the Pond crowd (and anyone else that this fits):

Some countries refer to the outside space behind your house as the garden. In the US we call it the backyard, and the garden is specific to growing things like plants or flowers. If your outside space is the garden, do you differentiate the growing space? Or is it all garden?

I don't have a garden.

However, I have landscaping all around my house that is filled with small shrub-like bushes and various types of perennials. Those are growing nicely.

My mom gave me potted lilies of the valley and daffodils but I haven’t checked on them lately…

We also have a patch of raspberries in our backyard that are growing even though we haven’t started watering them yet.

A few weeks ago I bought 5 potted herbs from my grocery store: basil, parsley, thyme, dill, and rosemary. Already, the dill and the rosemary have died.

I've never been good with plants.

I do a little "garden" in pots on my deck with tomatoes and peppers. I'm really excited because I got some yellow tomatoes this year and they are my favorite. I had wayyy too many jalapenos last year, so I'm switching up the peppers a bit.
I also do a ton of flowers on the porch and and in my flower beds. That's my Mother's Day gift...going flower shopping :) I have a bunch of perennials, but use annuals to fill in the gaps and add color.

We have a herb garden, some fruit trees and small fruit bushes, and wild strawberries.
