What is in your fridge that should probably be thrown out?
So. many. leftovers. We have so many issues related to food as the kids are only here half the time for dinner + my husband is on a mostly vegetarian diet (and I am decidedly not) while he deals with some colitis-related issues.
What is a staple for your family?
My son brings his lunch to school about half the time so we always have sandwich bread, turkey, cheese, yogurt, squeezy applesauce, and Capri Sun on hand. My husband eats almost exclusively Trader Joe's food so we always have some type of no-taste super-nutritious rice/cheese cracker-y type things + TJ's (frozen) veggie fried rice + grits. We've had apple cider and orange juice since September as DH makes his own wassail every day. I always have Diet Coke.
Do you order online for delivery, pick up, or go shop yourself?
We shop ourselves; it's a whole process. It's just hubby & me Monday and Tuesday nights so I might run out Monday afternoon for a little of this and a little of that OR we run to TJ's OR we go out to eat. We have the kids every Wednesday and Thursday night but not every weekend so if it's a "long" week with them, I will meal plan + grocery shop Wednesday night. If it's a short week with them, we'll buy enough on Monday to get us through Wednesday night, go to my parents' for dinner Thursday night, make/order pizza Friday night, and then decide Friday evening or Saturday morning what the two of us will be doing for meals for the weekend.
