Friday! What's on for the weekend?

Hello, Friday! I hope everyone had a great week and is ready for a nice break.

It was insanely busy at my house all week and it continues this weekend. Tomorrow night is Homecoming. Elizabeth is a freshman so this a super big deal for her. She has a "boyfriend" and they are going out to dinner and the dance in a group with 5 other "couples". (Yes, the quotes are because I am totally in denial. LOL) I am putting the finishing touches on my house today because E invited all of the kids and their parents over before the dance to take pictures together. :imok So, some fluffy decorating and hors d'oeuvre are on my agenda for today. Then, tomorrow, is the mani/pedi/hair stuff. Eep. I will have pics to share on Monday. By Sunday, I am hoping to do absolutely nothing.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Gonna take off later today with DH and head down to camp. It's their work day before deer season and me and some of the girls are going shopping at a DIFFERENT Walmart than the one down the street from our house. ***Ah, come on, you know that they have different stuff at other Walmarts! LOL***

Tomorrow night we've got a chili cook-off and then head back home on Sunday. Then I'm going head first into the bedroom and start getting items for our big Yard Sale in 2 weeks.

DD and I are going camping with her scout group. I'm about to go throw a load of laundry on and then we get to pack...leaving at noon today and will be back Sunday. We haven't been camping in about 4 years so this is exciting for us, and it looks like we'll have perfect camping weather this weekend (crossing fingers and toes).

Well today is my oldest son's 7th birthday and I had a family dinner planned but my sister in-law went in to labour last night so it seems like we may not have anyone at our place... but I guess we'll see. As far as the rest of the weekend goes I have to work 4-12 all weekend so that's what I'll be up too. :)

regular regular
football (2 more games! eep!)
XC endurance camp
birthday parties
sleep and more sleep

our homecoming is next weekend. it will be lindsey's first
and she and i are BOTH excited!!
can't WAIT to see your pics!!!!

The weather has been so nice so, I am planning on spending lots of time outside with my boys. :) I can't wait for them to get home so we can play today.

Re: Friday! What's on for the weekend?

That's some pretty impressive denial, Laura.

N has a camping trip for Scouts this weekend. They're cleaning up their local camp before winter plus working on their cooking requirements. So it'll just be working for me while he's gone. Today I have to find him some kid-sized work gloves and get his gear packed for cold weather camping.

Going to try to squeeze some shopping in this weekend, too.

I'll hopefully be able to get over this delightful cold that my daughter brought home from college last weekend. I'll be glad to have a couple of days to sit around at home and scrap. Never a shortage of scrapping ideas (or laundry for that matter)

Ooooh that's a big weekend Laura!! I so hope it all goes swimmingly and E has a wonderful time and you and K survive too! :beat

DG is back home tonight after a week away so this weekend will be fairly full of family time. But we both also have work and school deadlines, so we'll be busy with some projects we're working on, too. So good stuff.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Sounds like some nice weather and fun campingness and celebratingness to be had!

Ohhhhh, I can't wait to see the photos, Laura!! Yeah....I too, am in denial of all those things with my freshman girlie. *sigh*

How exciting about Homecoming Laura! I can't wait to see pics too!

We have a big company party Saturday night. I look forward to these because the food is always amazing and I get to hang out with one of the hubby's coworkers wives that I absolutely love. It should be fun.

We have the typical sports stuff for the boys all weekend. I'm looking forward to watching the ND/Michigan game on Saturday afternoon. And Sunday is our anniversary (12th).

today... laundry and packing, more laundry and more packing

the rest of the weekend... driving to Nashville, with a stop in Indy tomorrow to visit with Mark's parents and spend the night and then Sunday we'll finish up driving to Nashville for the week... I'm sooooo excited for a little vacation with the kids... too bad hubby has to work :giggle

Sounds like fun, Laura! Can't wait to see the photos.
Tomorrow, we're going to the Life is Good festival to see Sara Bareilles perform (my daughter and I are HUGE fans). Then a photo shoot with a one-year-old on Sunday. I did her newborn photos and this will be the first time I've seen her since she was six days old. Super fun!

Oh you all make my life seem tame! busy, every one of you! and I thought my life was crazy right now. I think it's more annoyance at a school system I don't understand than anything else, but thanks to that and my son having thoughtfully passed his nasty cold on to me, it's been a rough first week of school over here. This is the first time in YEARS that I've actually been able to mean it when I say: TGIF!

Oktoberfest starts tomorrow and my dh is bound and determined to go for the horse-parade and insists the kid must come. I am begging off. I hate Oktoberfest and everything to do with it!

We could also go to the Fire Department Festival tomorrow, but after having nearly the whole fire department here at our house last friday due to the neighbors downstairs setting their kitchen on fire and having to evacuate, I've honestly had my fill of fire trucks for the time being.

Also need to go to the toy store and get the kid's birthday boxes set up. Birthdays are looming on the 1st, 4th & 14th, though I've staggered the parties on the 6th and 13th and then must figure out how to make number 45 something a bit more than your 'usual' for dh on the 14th.

In the meantime, I am going to try and relax one last night by reading Anne of Avonlea (it's free online from Gutenburg!) and pretend like there is no horrible school system, no oktoberfest, no fires and no stress-planning of birthday parties. Just me. curled up in bed with Anne.

Tomorrow is my birthday (wheeee!) and we're having a supposed-to-be-huge-but-everybody-keeps-canceling-party so we've been busy shopping and getting the house together for that. AND I'm shooting a wedding rehersal dinner party tonight, so this afternoon I'm prepping my equipment and looking for fun photo ideas on Pinterest.

Then tomorrow night, it's PARTY TIME! I'm going to party like I'm in my early twenties, because, well, I can only do that for this year...

Sunday, more client meetings and ordering pictures!

I hope everyone has fun with all of the homecoming and camping festivities!

Friday! What's on for the weekend?

My weekend consists if activities for the kids firstly it kicks off with baby ballet oh yes ballet for toddlers he he even tho she was more interested in how the door licks worked we then are gonna do some Christmas shopping then onto football for the boys and round it off with a soft play centre for them to wind down

Laura...I'm seriously stressed just reading that. Having anyone in my home, decorating or anything like that causes me to break out in hives!!

Right now, I'm going through things and listing them on Craigslist. I did some things last week that I've been meaning to do forever, and I made $600 doing it. Even though it's a pain in the you know what having to deal with people, have them come over to look at things, etc, I know I need to do it. There is just SO much stuff in this house and I can't handle it anymore! Normally I just take things to the Assistance League or Salvation Army...and I'll still do that too for a lot of things, but if I can make money on a few, they're going on Craigslist or eBay!!

I think I'll be at it all weekend!

As usual, I have nothing to add to this.

No big plans other than the usual.

I probably should close my pool. but I'm incredibly lazy. :rofl

Volunteered at the school this morning and got to spend some time with my parents (they live 2.5 hours away). Got last minute things for Sunday....went shopping with my mom.

Soccer, soccer and more soccer!! Soccer is our life!! We will be at the soccer field all day tomorrow and then are hoping to squeeze in a little apple pickin' if the weather cooperates.

We are heading to my parent's house on Sunday for DS #3's family birthday party.

I plan to go see my parents tomorrow and help my mom with some things around the house. I did suggest we take Aida bowling for the first time. Pretty sure that will be quite funny. Other than that, I just want to relax. This has been one of the longest weeks.
