Happy Friday everyone! It feels like it's been a long week and I'm not even like some of you that are just freshly back in school routine and missing summer, so an easy finish the sentence for today:
"This weekend I'm looking forward to... "

for me it's some proper rain, not driving anyone to birthdays and group project meetings etc, a sleep in and scraptime!

This weekend I'm looking forward to scrapping, mowing the lawn, and enjoying some time outdoors! We may squeeze in a car show and concert at the state park tomorrow :)

This weekend, I'm looking forward to Sunday, cause I don't work. Haha.

No, I'm looking forward to writing a bit and scrapping a bit, and finally going through my Disney photos.

We are headed to the World Famous Deming Duck Races!

This is my first time! It is a 2 hour drive to a tiny town. I can not wait!

m looking forward to relaxing at home. DH just texted that he thinks he's getting a cold, so he's apparently down for the count. I've been busy cleaning up and disinfecting the house (cats have an upper respiratory infection AND a parasite!). I'm looking forward to them feeling better, tbh. And I want to scrap, of course, and watch some TV. So no big plans but I'm glad for that!

. . . seeing my daughter's choir. They're having their annual new member open house Sunday afternoon and then Monday they start up rehearsals again. I enjoy those Monday nights sitting and reading, sometimes hearing their singing voices drifting through the windows.

...relaxing a bit, scrapping a bit, reading a bit, and some little errands. My kids, hubby, and MIL headed to Virginia to visit DH's sister. I have to work this week, and while I do miss them, and wish I were there (sorta)... I'm going to enjoy the downtime. :happy They left yesterday and will be back Sunday!

This weekend I’m looking forward to..

the smoky Seattle haze to dissipate so we can take a ferry over to Vashon Island and enjoy some summer weather.

We're headed there for the weekend! Daughter & I are going to the Ed Sheeran concert Saturday night & then we are going to be tourists again (kids don't remember Seattle much- even though I grew up just a bit south & have 'been there/done that') ;) Crossing fingers for better air than here in Spokane- we've been in Hazardous air conditions for a week or two!

And... tomorrow is our 12th wedding anniversary so we're going to celebrate while we're in Seattle!

...first HS football game of season. To be more exact, half time and the band. I'll get all my pictures in tonight and not take my camera the rest of the season. Woot! Then first cross country meet of the season tomorrow morning. I don't know if people go watch these meets, but I'm going to go and see.

Sunday afternoon when our departmental retreat is over and I can grab a little relaxation before the next week starts up!
Non-yay for non-paid weekend work!

The housecleaners just left so I have a clean house for the weekend!! I'm looking forward to finishing my big scrapping organizational project. I signed up for the September Pocket Letters and it forced me to get my paper stuff organized. I started moving my stuff from the bedroom that used to be my scraproom and is now my dd's room into a huge walk-in closet. It took me all of last week, but I'm nearly done. With a lot of reorganizing and utilizing vertical space, it's working out nicely. Side benefit, I found some things that I'm going to try to sell.

Chilling out with Hubby :) It has been a long week.. had Jury Duty 2 days all day we came to a guilty verdict and sentencing in a criminal case and I have been wiped out ever since. Tired plus now I feel like I am catching something so chilling this weekend sounds delightful!!!!

Getting things back to normal! My husband had to have an emergency surgery the day before we were to leave on vacation last weekend. I've been slowly coming out of that funk (mourning my vacation!!) and expect that our normal routine will eventually take over. He is moving slow, but certainly on the mend.
