Last month, my hubby and I did a low/no spend money challenge. This got us working on saving money too. (plus we turned off the internet for a bit).
I had been using Backblaze at $5 a month. I accidently found out that Amazon Prime members (we are, for the free shipping)..I live in the middle of no where...

About Prime Photos
Prime Photos provides unlimited photo storage in Amazon Cloud Drive with an additional 5GB of free storage space for active Prime members in the U.S.

Store your photos safely in Cloud Drive and you can access them anywhere, from almost any device by signing in with your Amazon account. Cloud Drive offers free mobile apps, secure access from any computer, and it's built in to all Fire devices.

With Prime Photos, the photos you've previously uploaded to Cloud Drive and photos you upload in the future will not count against your Cloud Drive storage limit. In addition to the unlimited photo storage, you will also receive 5 GB of free storage space that can be used to store videos and files we can’t recognize as photos.

For more information about Cloud Drive storage plans, go to Change Your Cloud Drive Storage Plan.

For more information about Amazon Prime, go to About Amazon Prime.

Note:

Prime Photos requires an Amazon Prime, Amazon Mom, Amazon Student or Amazon Fresh membership. Customers who are guests of another membership aren't eligible for Prime Photos benefit. If you cancel or do not renew your Prime membership, you will lose the unlimited photo storage benefit associated with the membership and your uploaded photos will count toward your Cloud Drive storage limit. For more information about your Cloud Drive storage limits and what happens to your content if you exceed those limits, go to About Cloud Drive Storage Limits.
Prime Photos is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use it in connection with a professional photography business or other commercial service.
Certain photo formats are excluded. For more information, go to Cloud Drive Photos & Videos File Requirements.

One of the things I love most about Amazon Prime (other than the free 2 day shipping) is the unlimited photo storage. I love it!!!

I use Amazon Prime Photos... but I also do the free photo storage from Shutterfly called This Life. It's unlimited storage for photos for free, you do pay if you want to store video as well. I really like it for how easy it is to tag and organize my photos. It has good facial recognition too. Since it's completely free, I got my daughter set up with her own account so she can automatically back up all of the photos on her phone.

I use my SmugMug account... but this will be an extra! Thanks for the info!

Great idea, Tracie - I'll do that when we eventually get my son a phone!

i've been a prime girl for years. how did i not know this? i also can't figure out how to get the free movies on our smart TV. tech challenged much? (but no one in our house can!)

Thank you for sharing!

Very cool information to have! We are also Prime users, so I should totally check into this. Even if I only do my finished layouts, that would be a great extra backup!

I do have an organizational problem. My girls had kindles and took millions of just not well done photos..and saved everyone. I need to get in and organize it...ugh.

Good Point, Anne! I will check my boys Kindles FIRST.
