Found my way here!

Thank you! I'm just wondering...my uploads seem to be bigger than some of the others. Are there preferred sizes to upload? My layouts look huge on the challenge threads so I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
 
do you save out 600x600 ? and do you copy the 3rd link to post your layout in a tread

ah no, have not been saving to 600 x 600 but I have been using the third link. Should I go back and change or just change with my next post?
 
i would just for now on do it. But you might wanna resave your jpeg on drive to 600x600, that 3600 must me really big
 
gotcha, it's 12x12 so I'll start resizing. I can't find a way to change it now that it's in my gallery. Doesn't seem to let me resave over it.
 
no need resize in your program, just export to web, to 600x600

the gallery has some bugs at moment, site was recently redone, not all up to par yet
 
Welcome, Kim! So glad you found your way to The Lilypad! I think you will find it to be a fun and inspiring place and this month it is hopping for sure.

As Cath has said, it's really just a matter of saving for web to upload to the gallery.

I usually save my page once at full size: 12x12 (3600x3600) then I resize it to 600x600 at 72 dpi. This makes it web sized and fits with our gallery limits. The big one is for printing, the small one is for sharing online.

As far as changing out your image, again, Cath is correct. That function will be available soon, but for now you would have to delete and re-upload to change your image. Don't worry about it for now, just upload web sized images in the future :)

I didn;t realize you had never been in a forum !!! well, am so glad you did (find your way here!!) and I'm sure we will enjoy many more chats.... give us a shout if you need anything ... I see @Cath_ has already been helping you out and you have met some of our family here & in the gallery... there is always someone online at all times I think , so you ask away if you need something.....I know I was welcomed with so much love & support, I stayed and now is almost 3 years....couldn't hope for a better scrap home & family ...welcome once again, Huggzzz !!!
