I am stuck so I am helping someone can help. I use windows 10 and PSE 14 I have way too many fonts but love them all...well many of them. In fact too many to load directly into PSE. I have been using nexus font but for some reason it stopped working for me and I cant get it going. So I am wondering if there is some programme I can use to manage my fonts. I don't want too much from the font manager. Just access to them all.

I'm on a mac and just use the existing Font Book that comes with it. I use it to install Fonts but am not so great with keeping anything organized so I'm really no help to you. Fonts can be overwhelming for sure. I'm sure someone will come along and share a Windows friendly tip or two!

I'm sorry @tam65 I don't know anything about font managers except that when someone mentioned Nexus last week and I thought I'd try it out, I learned it is not for Macs.

But I'm very interested in font organization now. I reformatted my internal hard drive a couple of months ago and I still haven't reinstalled my zillion fonts because I want to be more organized with them and not have to wait a minute every time I click on the text tool in Photoshop. The pages I've made in the last 2 months have all used default Mac fonts. LOL

So @jenn mccabe thanks for mentioning this Font Book. I've been using an iMac for 5 years now and didn't know about this! Any tips? Is it in the apps folder, or something I need to go find in the App Store?

I'm Mac too and use the installed application Font Book. I do have Collections/Groups...forget what they're called in FB...where I make categories of different types. Brush, Handwriting, Hollow, Typewriter and a few others. I still have too many fonts but what's a girl to do? :badputer <-- trying to stretch space!

I would try removing Nexus Font and reinstalling it. I'm on Windows 10, and the latest version is working fine for me. It was working with PSE 14 as well.

I don't have another suggestion, since Nexus is free and working!

I'm not the best person to ask for organizing tips, but yes, it is in the Application Folder. Whenever I download a new font, I double click the TTF file and Font Book pops up. There is an install button at the bottom right of the Font Book screen. No more dragging files to my Font library. Font Book installs it for me. You can categorize your fonts by clicking the little "+" button near the bottom left. Name your category and add fonts to it. There is also a little "check mark" icon that you can use to disable fonts. I use this when I have too many fonts that are rarely used, but I don't want to delete. These fonts are still in your system, but don't clog up the Text menu in PS. So that may be useful for you. Just enable the most used for now ... and then add to it as you start to realize you use more fonts. I used to categorize by CU or Personal Use but haven't kept up with it. I like the little "i" (info) icon to see the copyright/trademark info if you need to look up licensing etc or find out who made the font. I'm sure if you google Font Book you will find good info for more ideas for how to organize your fonts! But I just mostly love it for the easy install it provides.

Nexus font has an update available so maybe you just need the newest version? THat's what I use to have all my fonts accessible- but not installed! Works perfectly! But again- only for PC's. I'd try what previous posters said about uninstalling then installing the newest version of the software. Good Luck!

I'm a devotee of nexus font. There was a major update a while ago so maybe this all you need. Do not uninstall your previous version when you install the update - it will install over and keep your current settings.

Thank you all for your input. I will try and install the latest version and see how I go.

Ok I am back. I have downloaded the new version still no luck. The problem is that it does not intuitively installing all those fonts I have. It only installs the windows fonts not all my others. Any other ideas would be gratefully accepted.

This is one of my pet peeves! Is there a way to organize fonts in PSE 14? Like can I select favourites to keep at the top? Or, group them according to theme? If not, can we lobby Adobe to add this as an update?
