Finders Keepers | PadPatter 11.1

What's funny is my mom still does the laundry (it's one of the few chores she can easily do and refuses to give it up), so she still finds the stuff I forget to take out of my pockets - everything from jewelry to rocks to bits of paper.

And yes, absolutely finders keepers when it comes to the money. I always thought of it as payment for services rendered.
I am quite surprised (touch wood) none of my little notepad lists have ended up in the wash b/c they are everywhere but I guess I use my handbag more than my pockets for those

The only thing I usually find is shredded tissue and I don't find it in the washer but the dryer. Ugh! bits of tissue EVERYWHERE and on EVERYTHING!

Love that idea for the lamp, such a creative idea. I never put stuff in my pockets but my hubs does...change, pens, comb most of the time.

This made me lol! My 8 yr old son is NOTORIOUS for leaving stuff in his pockets. Usually it's tissues- which turn into bazillions of little pieces in the dryer! Also- his laundry basket & toy basket are right next to each other so I've washed hot wheels cars, a few stuffed animals and even a set of play weapons. Obviously I DON'T check pockets- My rule is you are responsible for getting it in the basket & delivered to the laundry room- I'll wash & dry- but YOU put away. So... he's not always checking his own pockets.

Lol sounds like he'd have a great lamp by now too!

I only wear leggings/jeggings with no pockets, so it's hubby's stuff that get a deep cleaning!
So far I've found tissues, baby wipes, metro tickets, receipts, coins, earbuds (survived), an ATM card (destroyed), door keys (we have a front load machine and I was worried they would break the glass. They didn't), car keys & garage door r/c (he's handy, so he repaired them both), batteries from watches (he's a watchmaker).
And among DD's bed sheets, a pacifier that I spend a whole day looking for.

I don't check pockets either. I feel if they put it into the washing basket they should have checked the pockets. Hair clips, bra wires, occasionally change, earbuds and flashdrive never worked again.
My rule is if they make me a money launderer, I keep the evidence.
