So I finally ventured to my local Michael's and after searching for a while for the Smash products, I finally found them on an endcap in a tiny space. They were sold out of most of the little Smash Pads, but they did have the cute polka dotted tape and a few other things.

In other product news, anthropologie had some cute tins of tapes. They had a numbers one that was really adorable, as well as some other versions.

:)

I love smash products!! My Michael's did the same- hid them in a small section and very low stock. I actually went today and bought another pen and paper pack and noticed they moved them front and center, quadrupedal the section, and had way more stock. Still selling through a lot.. but I think they finally got the memo ;)

YAY! I just started a Smash book and bought one of almost every supply that my Michael's had. I especially love the stamp.

Yes! It's by Cavallini, I bought it back in October and love it! You can find it (and the other versions) on Amazon and in some scrapbooking stores online too. (But I agree that going to Anthro is much better! :))

"in other product news" ..... :giggle

So JEALOUS! I don't think we have a scrapbook store (other than the usual Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Joann (ours stinks)!

no one in my itty bitty town sells them. I checked Michaels, and JoAnne's. I guess I will have to order them offline. Where is the best place?

There used to be a scrapbook store right near the hospital where my dh is right now. Everyday I drive by and I think I should pull in and see...but I'm still too afraid. It could be hours and hundreds of dollars later by the time I get out of there.

If it's closed down...I'll have to hit the really big one in Sacramento when I go visit my folks. I heard it reopened...I went once a few years back and it was HUGE!

So, I still have no smash products. I don't even have a pen for journaling. Digi again for me this week....

I would love to see some pictures of peoples smash books! I love the concept of them, but my ocd brain can't work on one and.make it look "scrappy!" I would love to see some inspiration! :)

I went to look for some Smash stuff today and got told it was moved to the back because AC Moore was cleaning the floors! D'oh!
I have found the smash book is a good place to use all the products I've been collecting "just because." I did a page filled with owl stickers! :)

I went into Michaels last night, and they had a pretty good supply..had all the books with pens, the little pads, pens, tape, etc...
I was only going to get a few things, but ended up spending about $50. I need to know what ink pad I use with that date stamp though. Can anyone recommend one?

I LOVE the books...but I'm just not sure I'd actually make one. The "old" me would buy one of every color and then let them sit in a box for 5 years until I gave them away. I'm really trying NOT to do that and only buy what I'll use! Maybe if I had a coupon! LOL

eta: ok...found 40% online coupons for Michaels. I'll have to get at least one of those books!!! They are very cool!

Ha! I know how that happens! :giggle Although I have to say I always go with coupons (and DH so we can use 2) and I am pretty good to sticking to just a couple items per visit (I am cheap! :giggle).

I am NOT a stamper (though I've recently bought a couple of stamps that were 40% off at Michaels :blush), but I've used a couple different inks with the date stamp and loved the results of both. I started off with black permanent ink in week 1, then for weeks 2 and 3 I wanted to match the colors of my pages so I used Tim Holtz distress inks. (It was all stuff I already had in the house)

They are! :D I bought one too before Christmas and haven't used it yet, but I want to start as soon as I have some time!

I'm usually good about using coupons, but I was on the way home from the hospital visiting Rick, and I just kept on driving over to Michaels. I couldn't stop thinking about it after you were all talking about it here! LOL!! I'm so easily enabled!!

Those distress inks look cool. I did see some at Michaels. Maybe I'll just choose one for now...maybe in a dk grey or something. I can always get more colors later. :) Thanks Cristina!

I am now officially as "bad" with PL as I was when I first started paper scrapping, and then digi scrapping! I found the Cavallini tapes on amazon (prime!) and these really cute office post-its. They arrive tomorrow!! LOL And my niece told me about cutetape.com... so now there is a $40 order of washi tapes & deco stickers on it's way too!! MUST.STOP.SPENDING. Seriously, one of the great things about PL is supposed to be that I'm going to use my stash and stop hording it... NOT to stock up on all new stash! :helpy

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has gone crazy shopping since starting PL! :giggle

I'm with ya, girls on the spending. I've been to Michael's ($30), Joann's ($35), Cute Tape ($25), Michelle Woodward's Shop ($15), Hobby Lobby ($45), Office Depot ($50). Kinda stresses me out, so I've had to slack off. :)

Oh my...I just found cutetape this morning and have an order coming from them too. Thankfully a lot of items I wanted were out of stock or it would've bee a lot bigger!
