Fill in the blank... | Pad Patter 7.9

Dry dog food, aka kibble. My dog takes it from his dish, and attempts to hide it all over the place.

Isn't that funny! I've had dogs try to burry bones...in the couch. But not kibble. ;)

Cat hair here too, but also dust and some feathers from the cushions.

I had a dog that would only eat his food from the floor. He'd take the kibble out of his dish and put it on the floor. When he had enough out, he'd start eating. And, he loved to move his food dish all over the house. Came home from work many times to find it in other rooms and yes, he had to navigate it around corners. I used Longaberger pottery dog bowls for their food and water and those things were heavy but he still moved it all over.

When I was moving a piece of furniture from the basement to my office, I found a rawhide bone under the cushions. I had not given those 2 dogs rawhide bones since probably 2005 and I moved the love seat in 2017. Found a small stuffed toy in it as well. I used to paper scrap in the basement but after a flooding issue in 2005, I moved everything upstairs so I really hadn't been in the basement for any long periods of time after that. And, the dogs didn't go down there unless I did. So that stuff had been there for over 12 years.

We were just talking about this yesterday. Hubs vacuumed the main floor (all hardwood and tile with a few scatter rugs) and by the time he got from one end to the other there were already dust bunnies (I call them fur tumbleweeds) swirling around the front door in the hallway. With three dogs we always have dog fur on the floor. We have to swiffer every day and vacuum at least twice a week. There isn't really any fur on the furniture but it all comes off when they are running thru the house onto the floor.

Even little dogs leave a trail of water. That's another reason I had waterproof laminate put throughout the house in 2017.
