February Art Journal Muse: Exploring Color
For the month of February, each of our weekly challenges is exploring color. Last month, we played with black & white pages. This week, we are going in a completely different direction.
It's time to head back to Junior High/Middle School science class where we learned the acronym ROY G BIV. Never heard of ROY G BIV? It stands for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. Figured out this week's color exploration yet? That's right, we are going to explore a Rainbow of Color.
For this week's challenge, I want you to create a page using at least three of the colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo or violet). It can be page with or without photos. If you use a photo it can either be in color or black & white. That is up to you. The one requirement is that you need to use three colors from the rainbow.
Here is a mood board that I created to help you find some inspiration.
Here is my page.
Challenge Rules
- Create a page using at least three of the following colors. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violate. It must be easy to spot three three colors on the page.
- You can create any style of card ie. clean and simple, artsy etc. Your card can be all digital or hybrid. Wherever the inspiration takes you as long as you include TLP products on your page.
- Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to Midnight EST March 3, 2024 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code".
We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every page you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 page you are entered once, if you create 4 pages you are entered 4 times. (Maximum of four entries.)
You can use any products in the Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).
I can't wait to see what y'all create.
