Since we didn't have anyone show up for chat tonight I thought I'd go ahead and post the thread for this month's discussion. I wasn't actually able to read the book (I know right...bad book club host right?), so I don't have any opening thoughts to share with y'all. I'm sure Jo will step in with her thoughts when she gets a chance.

Go ahead and discuss away. Hope you all enjoyed the book!

Oh no! I completely lost time and forgot about the chat. I'll come back later when I have time and leave a few thoughts. :)

I haven't been able to get a hold of the book yet. I read the first two. I'm kinda feeling blah about the series. I feel that it is ending up like The Hunger Games in the fact that the first book is really good. Second book is okay, and then third is a rush job to finish everything. Can anyone who has read the series set me straight. Is the third book better than the second?

I didn't love the 2nd book in this series, but I really enjoyed the third book. I thought it was a good ending to the whole storyline. My only problem was that I should have read the 2nd book again because I couldn't remember some of what happened and the characters they referred back to in the 3rd book. And I didn't have the third book so I could flip back through to figure it out. LOL!

I am SO sorry that I forgot about the chat on Sunday. I was just getting home from a movie night at church and didn't see the announcement until the chat was over already. boo on me! I'm putting the next one in my phone so I don't forget! :)

Jewelle, I HATED the second book! But, since I had already read the first two I felt committed to the series and I'm glad that I finished it. Reached is, in my opinion, MUCH better than Crossed. I was pleased with how it ended, albeit a bit predictable. I felt there were a few parts that were 'rushed' but I think that was probably intentional...they were in a rush to find something. Still, I would have liked a bit more meat to those parts. Overall, I was pleased with the book.
