What do you grab when you get hungry between meals? I'd love some fresh and new snack ideas.

When I've been good, I've been grabbing plain almonds and dried cranberries. Or reduced fat cheese.

If I'm bad I reach for kettle chips. Yum.

We love fruit, especially bananas, apples and oranges. Also cheese and crackers are a big hit here. And I like almonds and dried fruit a lot. Of course chips and candy have been known to happen as well..lol.

I grab something sweet normally if I am snacking - chocolate or candy! I am rarely healthy unfortunately!

yogurt! i love yogurt :heartlub I always have muffins in the freezer too, individually wrapped so I can throw 1 or 2 in my bag when I go out. Carrot Bran, Banana Bran, Magic Morning muffins - mostly healthy :thumbsups

Well, my go to used to be string cheese and a few slices of turkey but....we went primarily vegetarian about a month ago and try to limit our cheese as well. So - I am still trying to figure out my new favorite snack. We eat a lot of fruit in our house so I guess that is currently what I reach for most often. Anne's muffin idea sounds like a good one!

Roasted (unsalted) pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
Frozen seedless grapes (they're funner to eat when frozen lol and don't have to worry about them going bad)
Brown rice crisps (crackers)
I do the frozen muffin thing too

Kettle brand Baked Sea Salt chips are my weakness. They are so good! (but 65% less fat than regular chips! :D)

"Monster" trail mix from Target. It's peanuts, M&Ms, raisins, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips. So pretty much candy with some peanuts. :giggle

Nature Valley makes these granola thins that are pretty healthy and taste like candy bars (I like the PB and dark chocolate ones).
I also grab fruit or veggies (baby carrots, cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes are my favorites). I make my own ranch dip using fat free sour cream and some ranch dressing mix.
Wasa crackers and Laughing Cow cheese is another go to for me.

apples and pb
like Shannon, Wasa crackers and Laughing Cow cheese is a go to for me too!! Love it!
Fage plain yogurt with fruit (strawberries, raspberries, etc) and some chopped walnuts

and when I'm feeling like being bad, tortilla chips and salsa....a LOT of it!! :)

You guys are all so GOOD! I usually want some stinking chocolate and there's usually none in the house. ;)

I do want to try to do the muffins - I love muffins and if they weren't too bad for me, that might work!

I don't usually keep chocolate in the house because if i have it, it will be gone. It's my no. 1 weakness.

I am trying to do better with snacks. We have kind of gotten off track with the help of the candy holidays (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's day, and Easter). We have a candy stash - not much chocolate in it, but the kids have really gotten to where they prefer a snack from the candy stash over healthy snacks - so I am trying to reign them back in, myself included.
Popcorn is my all time favorite snack. Not microwave popcorn, but cooked on the stove. DH has found this Amish popcorn that we love - it is hull-less (already hulled) so you don't choke on the husks once it is popped... plus it has a natural and earthy taste. Hard to explain... just yum!!
