Last night, I got to hang out with my girlfriends - no kids, no husbands. So, today's Fast Five is inspired by that.
1. When was the last time you went out with friends?
2. Do you paint your nails?
3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready?
4. How long does it take you to get ready normally?
5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? (Or did. I won't judge)
 
1. When was the last time you went out with friends? Umm, "out" with friends? Too long to remember. But 2 weeks ago I had a coffee date with a few friends at one of our homes while our kids were at school. Does that count? OH, I did see a friend of mine in April. We met for lunch when I was in MI. So that's, uh, 6 months.
2. Do you paint your nails? I used to do it quite regularly, but it's been a LONG time. Maybe DD and I will paint each other's nails today!
3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready? I don't wear makeup except for very special things (my brother's wedding 6 years ago, for example. I didn't want to look washed out when I did a reading or for family photos. I didn't want my new SIL to hate me for "ruining" her day! rofl!). I did wear pressed powder to our portrait shoot last month. Oh, and mascara, too! But I don't wear it on a daily basis.
4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? Shower-to-door, about 30 min. More if I can't decide what to wear lol!
5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? Yes, I have definitely worried about my bladder while laughing but I haven't actually peed myself. I have cried from laughter a few times.

2. Do you paint your nails? Go for a mani pedi usually at the end of every month. I can't paint my nails so I get a French gel on hands and regular french on toes. I do french so that you cannot tell when it is growing out. I refuse to get them done more than once a month. I have my budget to think of :)
3. Do you wear makeup? Sometimes Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready? Now that I am retired I only wear it if I am going out with Hubby, or meeting friends out or going to the Dr., hair salon, or nail salon. Every place else, Grocery etc, nope no makeup
4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? 45 minutes generally. I gives myself an hour but I finish early.
5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? I think once, not sure.
 
1. When was the last time you went out with friends? This morning I walked with my friend for our weekly Saturday morning walk. We met another photographer in our photography club and made pictures too.

2. Do you paint your nails? Almost never.

3. Do you wear makeup? Even more never than nail-painting. I last used make-up (just a little, applied by my mom) at my wedding in 1996. Prior to that I may have used some make-up about 3 times.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? If I shower, 15 minutes. If I don't shower, 5.

5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? (Or did. I won't judge) Yes, a few times. Most of the time I laugh so hard, I'm close enough to a bathroom, fortunately! :)
 
1. When was the last time you went out with friends? It's been so long, I can't remember. I'm such a homebody and LOVE getting all the time I can with my hubby that I stay in my bubble.

2. Do you paint your nails? I do!! Not consistently, but I do love to paint my nails!

3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready? I don't wear makeup in the summer unless we're going somewhere nicer because it just melts off and then my face feels dirty and disgusting. In the fall and winter months I'll wear more, but it's usually just a BB cream mixed with some foundation, blush and mascara and that's it! Every now and then I'll wear lipstick if I'm feeling extra sassy pants LOL

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? Less than an hour, even when washing my hair, letting it air dry, and do my makeup.

5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? (Or did. I won't judge) Almost yes LOL

2. Do you paint your nails? I have pedicure every few weeks. Fingernails only occassionally
3. Do you weaar makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready? Almost everyday -- tinted moisturizer, mascara, blush, and lipstick/lip gloss.
4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? 20 minutes every time -- shower, makeup, dry and style hair, dress

1. When was the last time you went out with friends?
We double date pretty often with college friends, but it's been awhile since I've had a 'girl's night' ;)

2. Do you paint your nails?
Occasionally. At work we use so much sanitizer & wash so frequently that it doesn't last. I only paint mine when I know I'm off for a bit for vacation or the office is closed!

3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready?
I always wear moisturizer/sunscreen, mascara & lip gloss (addict here!) but that's usually my normal. I can do a full face fairly quickly, but I don't really see the point. It's sad when my kids ask- 'where are you going' or 'why did you put on makeup' lol!

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally?
On work days- my alarm goes off 6:25 & I leave my house at 6:40! We wear scrubs, so that takes any clothing decisions out of my time- I usually get dressed, brush my teeth, apply moisturizer & mascara, grab my lunch (I make the night before) & coffee & go! If I'm actually 'getting ready' like dinner out or something I can be showered, dressed, hair/makeup in an hour max.

5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? Well, I've had 2 kids so I feel if I move the wrong way I might pee- but it's been awhile! ;)
 
1. When was the last time you went out with friends? I honestly don't remember when it was so that should tell you not very often. I really am very much a home body and would rather spend time with my family .

2. Do you paint your nails? I do but not as often as I would like.

3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready? Never leave the house without makeup. Maybe if I did not work outside of the house I might not wear any but I feel so much better when I have my face done.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? I can normally be ready in 15-20 minutes. Normally it is less than 10.

It's been tooooo long! I would say a few months ago...before sports consumed us for the year!

2. Do you paint your nails?
I usually have them done at the salon, but I'm giving them a break right now. When I do get them done, I have them do them with clear gel and then I paint them at home and can change out the color as often as I want.

3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready?
I do wear make up most every day to work. I typically go without on the weekends if I'm not going anywhere.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally?
I allow an hour but I could probably be ready in 30 min or so. My ADD kicks in and I do other stuff while I'm getting ready.

After having 3 kids, definitely!! More than once :)

No makeup unless it's a special occasion or for planned family photos

15 - 20 minutes on a regular day. If I have to put on the makeup it'll take me longer since it's not something I do regularly (and don't want to go out looking like my 2 year old applied my makeup!)

Yes, though I might try to blame it on having had kids! :D

Friends? What friends? :giggle Seriously, I have, like, 2 friends. One lives on the opposite coast, and the other is always traveling somewhere for work! I am such a homebody...if I hang out, it's almost always with family. But my sister-in-law and I went to Disney last week- does that count?

2. Do you paint your nails?
Fingernails, no- I cannot stand the feel of nail polish on my fingernails. Toenails, occasionally when I have time.

3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a can't leave the house without it, or only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready?
I have never been a makeup person. I might use some tinted moisturizer for a "special" occasion, but I am really low-maintenance in this department.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally?
10 minutes or less.

Haha! No, but I have been known to laugh until I cry!

A friend of mine & I get together every so often at a local grocery store with a big restaurant/seating area/lounge after I get the kids to bed (and usually DH to bed, too) and chat for an hour or so. We did that 3 or 4 weeks ago. I do have a GNO coming up next week, though, with some gals I used to work with several years back. Should be a blast!

2. Do you paint your nails?
Nope. It chips off so quickly that it doesn't seem worth the effort.

3. Do you wear makeup? Are you a "can't leave the house without it" or "only when you have 5 extra minutes to get ready?"
I usually wear it to church and job interviews. That's usually it.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally?
Depends on what time of day it is & whether I've showered or not. I'm a SAHM of a 3yo so I shower somewhere in between 9 am and 2 pm & not at the same time of day like normal folks. Including shower, probably 45 minutes. Without, probably 20 minutes. Having to get him ready means I don't have a lot of time left for myself!

5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants?
Nope... but I've definitely had some unfortunate sneezing and/or coughing incidents!

2. Do you paint your nails? Just the toes about once a month
3. Do you wear makeup? Every Sunday to church and if I am going to be around people, but not when I am out running errands. The amount varies- Sunday it is pretty full - other times it is foundation and mascara only.
4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? 15 minutes if I hustle, otherwise 30 I am doing make up and am over concerned about clothes.
5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? (Or did. I won't judge) Probably -- but the biggest almost peed your pants was in fear. We were stopped on an exit ramp because there was a car out of gas with people pushing it in front of us. Several times I though we were going to die when cars came flying up the ramp going 60 until they saw us at the last minute.

My Cozi says it was September 23... My friend Jamie came over (we have a mom-date every 4-6 weeks or so) and we had amazing food, and then randomly decided to go to Beverly Hills for Paint Nite and fancy Mexican Food! It was amazing and they were having a street faire we didn't know would be going on! It was a very fun time!! I painted an owl on a tree limb...

Nope... It just comes off too fast to make it worth it. I do like to get a pedicure and have my toenails pretty though, because those seem to last longer and look better!

I wear it for special occasions and photos only. However, there are a few people I know that I will do my roots and fix my face for, just because they always look so perfect that I feel like I should get dolled up to be around them. So, I will slather on a whole face of whatever and pretend like it's just my everyday basic make up so they will think I am more together than I feel, lol...

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally?
About 20 minutes or it could be an hour if I have access to my phone or if my husband is taking care of the kids to let me get ready. Yes, a lot of that time is drip drying in a towel, but that counts!! It's part of my getting ready process! However, with a toddler or 2 staring at me, I can get it all done (make-up too) in 20 minutes flat!

Umm... Yes! This generally happens anytime I fall, but especially when I'm making eye contact with someone and gloriously take the plunge to the ground! (Just happened yesterday!) Sometimes, something will happen that will strike me as so funny that every time I think of it, I will be right back there cracking up, especially when kids say something funny... ie... "Mom, when Sprite goes bad, does it turn into Sierra Mist?" Yes, yes it does. Or "Oh, look they have grape jelly, strawberry jelly, boysenberry jelly, ... , peanut jelly?? what?" I think that's peanut butter, sweetie!! Or moments like, "Mom, what are those birds doing?" Well, sweetie, I think they are mating? (Thankfully on that one, there was a zoo employee there to confirm that they were indeed copulating!)

Just realized I skipped a huge block of time here, where we also went to a movie at the Grove in the fancy theater... So, we did not go for food, drive to a new place and eat again, lol... We had good food for lunch, and then more good food for a late dinner!! It matters to me that you know we did NOT spend the whole day eating!

1. When was the last time you went out with friends? We had our parenting group catch up last week, which was fantastic - at the park in the Spring sun with the babies scattered across picnic blankets.

2. Do you paint your nails? I like to have them done but it never seems to last more than 5 minutes, so I don't bother.

3. Do you wear makeup? Sometimes. I go through fits and starts; when I want to feel more grown-up, professional etc, I wear it.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? Post baby? Three minutes. Four if I brush my teeth, five if I manage to brush my hair too!

5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? Oh my, yes! I laughed so hard watching Billy Connolly one night that I fell off the couch. Yep, literally.
 
1. When was the last time you went out with friends? Me and two friends have a craft day every Friday afternoon, and during school holidays as often as is feasible. I think this holidays we did 6 craft days over the two weeks, and they were all full days. Yassssss! We just take along whatever craft we are doing (me, usually crochet, Jess, cross stitch or papercraft, Linda, cardmaking or colouring/watercolours) and sometimes we put together an activity to share. Love it!

2. Do you paint your nails? Sometimes, but just very randomly.

3. Do you wear makeup? Not a makeup person, except mascara. After Bellamy was born, hubby was working more-than-full-time, and I was just flat out exhausted. I don't even know how long my longest span between a proper shower (hair wash....) was. But i decided one day that I needed something to help me feel better and more "ready for the day" eaxh day and that was mascara. It made a world of difference, as odd as that sounds.
I do need a new one, my last one was cheap and it dried up quickly.

4. How long does it take you to get ready normally? I wear virtually the same thing every day, tights and a stretchy top. So about 3 minutes. My showers are wgenever I can fit them in, not in our busy morning!

5. Have you ever laughed so hard you almost peed your pants? Not from laughing :eyeroll but if I laugh too hard I end up in a coughing fit, so I have to be careful!
