I have memories of my first true high school crush... a lean, tall, water polo player with blonde hair and green eyes that just made me swoon... flash forward some (several) years later I find an old friend who just happens to have previously mentioned blonde Adonis as a listed friend... scoured through the pictures in the friends list.... not finding the Grecian God, but an Everyday Eddie... he grew up to be an average guy.

oh mannnnnn.... he grew old.... that means I have toooo BLECH! but maybe, just maybe.... I stayed the same while eveyone around me aged??? yeah.... yeah that's it! :agree

:lol Yep, I had the same thing happen. Finally found a picture of my first love and it wasn't pretty. :cry I have found the the boys age a lot worse than the girls. Most of the girls I have seen look great! :agree

Of course this doesn't apply to all of them. Just had a friend suggestion come up for a guy I had a crush on since 7th grade and he is still pretty hot. Now trying to decide if I should friend him or not...:think

Finding out that my first love was having a baby via FB wasn't so much fun either :disagree. At least I'm hotter then his wife, that made me feel a little better :giggle

Alix

yeah my blonde Adonis now has, what little there is, dark hair and the lean water polo body has been replace by middle aged pudge...

One gal I worked with, who used to be quite the looker - hottie too hottie now looks more like the president of the PTA all in only 6 years...

nothing better than to realize that you are HOTTER than an old boyfriend's wife! LMAO

How funny Andrea! It is too bad that you won't be able to remember blonde Adonis the way he was...

LOL!!!! Thats hysterical!!!! Doesnt it kinda make you feel good in a weird, odd, hard to admit way?

LOL!! Ahh yes indeed. I have had a fair few of "doses of reality" thanks to FB. Mostly in a good way though. The "we are all real people" kind of way.

LOL This is so true. What is even creepier is seeing your ex-bf's wife ... and taking note that she looks a little bit too much like yourself.

LOL! so funny! i can sooo relate to this! I reeeaaallly hesitated to friend my old BF on FB. Things ended on kind of an open ended weird note (sort of like he did the whole "please don't marry him" thing to me about a week before my wedding... um... uncomfortable). Anyhoo... he is now married and has a baby girl, but still looks as gorgeous as ever, with a few extra creases around the eyes and such. Hmmm... I just try not to let my mind go there, ya know... ah, life.

I actually think it would be scarier to discover that HE is still attractive!
