Eeep! I'm so excited!!

:lol
In an effort to keep us from moving "so far away" (which we'd already decided NOT to do until all the kids are out of school) my parents have talked John into framing off our carport and turning it into another bedroom, and then turning the closet off of the carport into a bathroom. I'm still not fully sold on the idea to be honest, BUT as John and my mom pointed out, right now it's more a benefit, and the only real option. It'll be a while before we not only get out from under my student loans, but also all of Bella's medical bills - AND we're about to add some new ones. And our house is TINY, so adding a room will only help when we eventually sale it.

Anyway, the reason I am soooo excited...
To convince me that this is the way to go John has finally agreed to let me use our refund to tackle replacing our doors before we do anything else! Our front door hasn't worked right since not long after we moved in, and the backdoor is just not right. For starters, the size is just enough off to give us a killer draft and leaks when it rains, ants find a way in every spring and summer, and there is no way to add a screen to it. Screen is very important since... we don't have any windows in our living room. lol Anyway, I'm getting super excited looking for doors. Plus, if we can afford it, I want to start replacing the windows too (there's something wrong with every one, ours won't stay open, nor will Ryan and Bella's, Zach's won't open, and there's a draft in the kitchen windows). Thankfully we only have 5 windows total in our house, so it's not going to be a huge cost.

I think I should get my dad on this "keep Trish from moving" guilt trip as well. lol I could probably finally get a back patio out of it. :p

And man, after typing all that I feel all old and responsible now. Seriously. Who gets excited over new doors and windows. :lol

Count me as old too then because that all sounds wonderful! Congrats! :)

Okay....I AM OLD! Bwahahaha But if it has anything to do with home remodeling or improvements, I get excited too! Glad to hear that your family is supportive.

It's always nice to nest when you're in the last stretch of pregnancy. I'm glad you're getting to make those changes. :)

I love buying new things for my house! Enjoy!!
