Hello lovely scrappers!
I recently played hookie with my husband one lovely Monday morning and instead of working, we went hiking! We live near some mountains and decided on a trail that we had yet to hike - so we were off. As we were hiking, we both agreed that the hike itself was pretty boring (yep, we're spoiled hikers!) BUT it occurred to me that while the big picture might have been dull, the details were amazing! As we got back into the mountains, we were surprised by a brightly colored gila monster! Neither of us had seen one before in the wild, so that was exciting. Next we came upon a desert tortoise... just hanging out munching some lunch. How cool (and rare)! And finally - though we both could have gone without this one - we were surprised by a huge rattlesnake coiled up at the side of the trail. So it was when we looked closer at the details of what was going on that we really started to enjoy ourselves even more.
So often when I scrap, I like to get a view of the bigger picture but then zero in on the details. It helps me remember all of the little things that end up meaning so much in the months and years to come - it helps to photograph or journal those details that you probably won't remember but will definitely want to!
So for this month's challenge, here are the rules:
