Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

I.hate.people.

Specifically parent people. More specifically the dillweeds who back traffic up in front of the elementary school because they can't follow the simple circle drop off rules.

WTH dude.. If you see a line of cars BOTH ways on the road backed up trying to get into the circle.. PULL ALL THE FREAKING WAY UP. It is not necessary that you watch little aiden walk all the way to the front door, or GET OUT OF YOUR CAR and walk your precious angel into the school. If you insist on doing this park in a parking spot.. not the freaking drop off circle. :furious:furious:furious:furious:furious:furious:furious:furious:furious

I wanted to get out of my car and punch a lady in the head today. How inconsiderate. It happens everyday pretty much but today i'm especially irritable :p We get notices at least once a week about people causing traffic issues/ not following the rules.. As i'm sure every one who drops off kids @ elementary school deals with. Gah. GAH. dummies.

ahhh. the love of morning drop off. yeah - it pretty much stinks. i dislike those people who don't drop off properly and i really dislike the parents that FLY THROUGH AT TOP SPEED. Um, hello - this is a playground full of inattentive kids. Odds are - they are not paying attention.

Morning drop off sucks all the way around.

they should put someone up there...to check and warn people to follow the rules... I can truly imagine that is very frustrating!

lol, my kids ride the bus for this reason. Until they invent a coffee IV, I will not be driving the kids to school.
I am too cranky and I want to punch people anyway, lol!

oh they do.. They've even had cops sit there bc a woman tried to get into a fight with one of the teachers when she got out of her car. These people are WACKOS.

Deep breaths La....

I feel ya! I drives me crazy when people don't pull forward... how can they not realize they are inconveniencing the 1,000 cars behind them?! Duh.

Oh I feel you. Happens almost daily at our school too, although 90% of the time, the dumb driver is a DAD. LOL Rookies who don't know the carpool line route.

And this is why my husband takes the kids to school! He's done it every morning for the last 3 years and he gets annoyed by dumb people at least once a week. He drops the kids off as early as possible to avoid most of the idiots.

I've never been in that situation, but I can only imagine. My dh would blow a fuse.

We have the same problem here. It just seems like more and more parents are driving their kids to school than using the buses. And I think that some parents really shouldn't even have a drivers license. They Scare the Heck out of me when they pull into the schools.

That is bizarre. Completely bizarre!

Actually, I'm blessed in that our school drop-off is very well supervised and the parents all work together. At least it seems that way, the few times a year that I drive my kids to school. Normally mine are on the bus.

Mine ride the bus most of the time. On those occasions I do have have to drive them, the elementary school moves pretty well overall, even with those parents who don't pull all the way up. The driveway there is a half circle, with the entrance and exits at opposite ends of the block, which helps tremendously.

The middle school, which is NEWER, has a much more stupid design, with all the traffic entering and exiting at the same point. (And then the new high school, which is newer yet, uses the same stupid design.) My favorites are the ones where the parents think they are more important than everyone else and zip past the line in the exit passing lane to drop their kid ahead of the line. I've seen so many near-accidents because of that. And what the heck are you teaching your kid with behavior like that? I also actually did see someone there walk their kid to the door under an umbrella from the very first drop off spot on a day when it was only barely sprinkling. Dude. The kid is 13. He is not going to melt walking 15 feet in rain that is evaporating on contact.

When the weather is really bad is when it gets totally ridiculous though, since all the walkers and a lot of the bus kids are getting driven instead. Traffic ends up backed up for two miles down the road. We head out the door ten minutes earlier on those days (for what is normally an 8-minute drive), and we will hit the crowd at the point that it takes us 15 minutes to go the last block. They got smart and had cops directing traffic last time it rained, but it was still bad. If I can, I've started just driving DS to our bus stop instead (it's 3 blocks from our house and has no shelter) to wait in the car, but sometimes the timing doesn't work out.

Wow, look at that. I wrote a book. Think you touched a nerve. :giggle

Ugh. We finally have our principal out there every morning making sure that people are following the rules. We had so many people parking their cars right along the drop off sidewalk and it was SOOOO annoying! Things are going pretty smoothly these days thankfully.
