Hi again!
I was extremely unwell the weekend, so, trying to catch up!
Sarita's father had a dream diary- a notebook he kept by the pillow so when he woke up with the memory he would write it....
couple of weeks ago Sarita woke up in the middle of the night and came to my bed crying and spooked.... she had this dream in which she was in a plantation collecting pomegranates that ended up full of bugs when she tried to pick them, there is more to it but thing is we went to Google it- As I never thought there could be anything specific about pomegranates I just Google what does it mean to dream bugs on fruit...

many links came up, most were citric or generalizing fruit ...but we were spooked to see a site that had one exact lt about the pomegrantes and it was an awesome interpretation! (site is called DreamAttico)
Then a couple of nights ago I had a dream I woke up with such a weird sensation, I dreamed we lived in a house were the owners had a snake, a very little , think thing, that wasn't very dangerous as it was loose, but the snake managed to clamp in my head and I woke up still trying to get the thing of my hair with the distinct sensation of it clamping the teeth ion my head.... not nice-

So I googgled it again-
Most of the stuff one finds talks about Freud's point of view, which I do NOT share(not only in snake dreams...Freud blamed everything on your parents and sex, I couldn't disagree more.....I know very very screwed up people who have great parents as much as the other way around , but that is for another post LOL)

Again, this site had an amazing explanation about facing changes and challenges in life.... which made me feel SOOO much better!!!

IN Brazil dreaming with snakes means someone is betraying you...
In the theatre/performing arts in South America, the word for snake is not spoken, you say: the animal that slides or other ways to say it but NEVER the word for snake... (and if you say it, apparently you have to touch your left boob - why? your guess is as good as mine !)

So...dreams....
have you ever had a dream that later you realize what it could mean?
do you dream in color?

I know I realize most of the time I dream in Portuguese and some of my dreams are so vivid, when they are good, I try go back to it!!!!

When I'm really ill and have a very high fever I always dream of spiders, that they are crawling out of the walls! That's awlful, I'll wake screaming and crying.

I've never thought to search for a meaning behind the dream though?

I have crazy dreams. All.of.the.time. I don't usually write them down, but if I really think about them for awhile, I can generally tell what started me down that path.

For awhile, I was having really vivid crime scene/murder dreams, which was really freaky. And I've also recently had some where I feel like I'm starting to wake up, but cannot move. I think that is the brain's self-defense mechanism so you don't act out your dreams, but it freaks me out when I feel that.

Sometimes I dream about my grandpa, and wake up crying because I miss him.

I think dreams are totally fascinating... and how our minds keep working even when we are asleep.

My husband doesn't remember his dreams. To me, that is really sad because I think it is a really rich area to mine. :)

I have often dream-pt of finding rooms behind a wall, or alot of rooms.

last night, something in room was bothering me, was trying to turn off its layer in photoshop to stop it. (wished could have saved that layout, within my dream, it was a nice one)

I dream a lot as well. And remember a good deal of them. I woke up a couple of weeks ago terrified about a dream and I can still remember every detail. It involved one of my children dying tragically. I still shudder to think about that one. I did go and check on him after I woke up, even though he is 16 and thought I was a total weirdo, LOL.

Anyway, never touched my left boob after a bad dream. Perhaps I should try that, bwahahaha.

Sometimes I dream like I am watching a movie and can affect the outcome, like debate with myself on the next scene. Other times I am part of the action unfolding with no control. I can't tell if I dream in colour though. My dreams are more like emotions with thoughts and ideas of images. Nothing really tangible to see if it's colour or not. I don't remember them all either, but I don't look too deep into the meanings of the ones I remember - Might scare myself....

I might try that left boob thing... What a riot we can start a trend....

I used to dream alot with memories when I was younger. Now I guess I'm just too exhausted to remember everything, I am sleeping really deep..

Are there people who don't dream in color? I didn't know that was a thing.

My dreams are weird. I don't think they mean anything. It's just me thinking of weird stuff. lol I know I'm dreaming and I can control stuff, usually. I get annoyed when I can't and then I want to wake up.

Not long after my father passed away, I had the most VIVID dream of him coming back to visit me. I was in a car & he was in the car in front of me sitting between a man & a woman. I could sense it was his parents although I didn't see their faces. They were pulling away from me & he kept mouthing something to me that I couldn't hear. I repeated twice that I couldn't hear him & then he said it again super slowly...... "I Love You!" That's when I woke up. I just knew that he was coming back to say a final goodbye. I find it so interesting that he was with his parents. I was only 9 months old when my grandfather died so I never really knew him. But I could sense that Dad was with "his people." GREAT dream!!!

The other night I had a dream about a snake that kept lurking about the house. I know it's a result of Jill's photo and thread about that snake in her son's car. I know that's the stimulus for my dream. Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me.

I love dream interpretation.. I have a book around here somewhere. I have had a weird dream after months of looking for a job after I had gotten married and moved.. It was at least 3 months and I was waiting to hear, still nothing. I then had a dream and it was my mother (she had passed 2 years earlier) who told me don't worry it will all be over tomorrow...Needless to say I had woken and cried as I thought omg.. I am going to die tomorrow so who needs a job.. lol... anyway as it turned out I got a call that day from the company and did in fact get the job. It as weird as it was my mother who told me basically in the dream that I would get the answer and I did, I just read it originally the wrong way. That was 23 years ago! LOL

I rarely remember my dreams. And when I do... they are odd. lol! I enjoy it and would have to read up on them if I ever had them more. It's fascinating to me!

Oh boy, Christa.... I'm glad it worked out differently than you thought!

you made me laugh very VERY loud here....
they say if you dream someone's death, you are actually prolonging their lives...
I would have done the same, go wake him up!!!!!!
so I guess we do qualify as weirdos LOL

Diane: yes, I often have dreams that are related to stuff I saw during the day, or others where I can tell exactly what was that prompt it.....

now Christa....that is one amazing dream....even though you interpreted wrong first...it makes me think a lot, when I dream of my maternal grandma, and she tells me things that I can then actually use to decide things...is it really them communicating, coming through in our dreams? or is it that we do actually have the answers but the human brain does not know how to process it yet?
either way: LOVE it when I dream of her :)
havent been able to remember my dreams these past few days, the deeper I sleep, the less I remember when I wake up....

Cynthia, I really think it is them coming to see us in a state that we can understand better. I do dream of the death of some sometimes and you are right, it is said to believe in dream interpretations to prolong life. If we think of people that have passed on, I know they are happy :) I have had dreams of water & my MIL & BIL before and read up re the interpretation and it was also pretty accurate. I try not to dwell too much into this stuff but find it way fascinating as I do card reading and psychics like Teresa Caputo. :) I have been interested in all of this since I was a young child.
