I see in the new gallery there is a option to download the layout is it possible to disable that?
Why we would a button to someone download our layouts?

I know I will save a copy of someone's LO when I want to scraplift it. These are only tiny versions but they are great for reference and ideas. I hope I never offended someone by doing this.

I think people would be flattered to know you wanted to save their page for future inspiration. Once you put them on the web they're available for public consumption anyway. I found one I'd made for one of my grandson's Pinewood Derby's on an image list for Pinewood Derby ideas. I certainly didn't put it there, so it must have been the title of the page. I have noticed I can't find an option to "add a page to my favorites" any longer, so I guess this could take it's place as long as you don't mind the space it takes up on your computer.

I think it is the same as right click and save image? I too save many images for inspiration to lift later, and that is what i would use it for! That being said, I love seeing you here too @Jana_NJ

You "watch media" now, to keep it as a favorite. I think.

I'd been wanting to ask the question, but it's so busy with more important questions than mine right now, so i'd been holding off! I appreciate the feedback, thanks girls!

I once seen a layout else where, with my daffidils and neighbors a/c photo. I am private, but then on the other hand, i do love the commets i get. Guess no way to have both

I download my chosen page for the scraplift challenge. I pull a version into PSE, enlarge it and then create a template from it before deleting it and carrying on with my scraplift.

I have done that exactly! lol I can never just go, oh I went with the colors of the page...I always have to do it just like the lift...cause I fell in love with the layout, the arrangement and colors...
once, I bought the kit and did it just like the persons, I so loved her page! I would have bought a qp for it, if it was available! tee hee

Whatever you are uploading, that is what people can download. They've always been able to download it, but the button does make the option more obvious.

The gallery doesn't actually have a 600x600 limit. I don't think it has a height or width limit at all, just a filesize/MB limit. The old gallery scaled down anything larger than 600 when it displayed, but you could click it to see the larger version. The new one, I think, just shows the full size by default. Regardless, to get to the filesize limit, it's not going to be all that much bigger than 600 anyway.

it can't be any bigger than the 600x600 limit to upload to gallery, if someone tried to print it, it would be so pixelated...ugh.
Not to mention the Web size! Using the 72 instead of 300 would make for a very grainy photo I imagine.

Yes, that button just prevents the extra step of right click save, which has always been an option for anyone to do.

600x600 at 300 dpi would be a 2-inch by 2-inch square. At 72 dpi, it would be larger but grainier. Either way, you could get a nice-looking 2-inch picture or a grainy large picture just by scaling it up or down. The number of pixels is exactly the same.

I know people can right click in places but it was just to have the button so obvious bugged me but thank you all for the info ;) I feel better now
