Last year for Christmas, I told my husband we'd play hookie from work and have a date day while kids were at day care.... we never really did that. Instead, I told him we could use one of our Christmas vacation days as a day where he and I don't worry too much about Christmas. :giggle

My suggestion for this particular date was to walk/window shop down "Main Street" during the day (because every time we've done this, was a weekend and many shops have been closed). I was actually really excited about this, simply because we've mentioned doing this so many times and never do.

Well, now he's made double date plans with his coworker friends, so now we're doing breakfast in line to see the 9am showing of Star Wars... and I'm hoping still getting to do the shops thing after. He has never expressed an interest in having a double date, let alone planning it. He even bought the tickets already. :woot

Do you do double dates often? Ever? Day and/or Date activities I can suggest for next year's date plans?? How often do you get to do date nights/days? (We're at once a month right now, because that's how often I have regular baby sitter)

Sounds like a great plan! Have fun!!!

Since I am the babysitter, we generally only get dates during the theater season. We have season tickets to a local theater, so we have Sunday afternoon dates when there is a play. It is lots of fun and not too expensive. We never have double dates. We have no friends. LOL. The only quasi double date is when my bestie and her hubby are at their beach place at the same time we're at ours. Their beach place is about 15 minutes up the road, so we get together with them sometimes, but usually have Kennedy along.

Check out the Dating Divas website. They have lots of ideas and offer some free printables as well.

I think I have several of their ideas pinned, actually. And just used the Christmas light scavenger hunt for our December date night/kid's sleepover at grandma's. :)

We do double dates fairly often with a few couple friends. But, it is usually lunch, while kids are in school. Or, they come over for game night and the kids all entertain each other. Does that still count as a date???

Counts for us! We do the same thing a lot! :)

We have hang out nights... we switch houses, play games, hang out, and it's a win-win. Kids get to play and parents get to chill out with friends.

We do occasionally go out with friends, mostly when it's warmer out and on the weekend, lol! Odd, I know, but then my parents are at the beach house, and they offer to watch all of the kids while we go out and gallivant. Usually, my parents will have their friends over, and the kids are playing, lol!
