doesn't it feel spooky.......

...when you are looking at your comments, and you get this notification that this person put one of your pages into their favourites...then you click on the person's nickname and then they don't have not even ONE LO posted, you have never seen them in the forums or anywhere else?

it really spooks me.
big time.
like someone is taking a piece of me or something,
maybe silly, but I don't like people who hide ...
am I wrong on this one?
is it me being old & cranky?
(which can be, after all, I am in so many ways LOL)

I used to feel that way and it really bothered me at first, but now I think of it like the "like" button on FB... some people just don't say anything but they like the layout and so they "favorite" it... and if they aren't on any cts or participating in any challenges then I can see why they don't have anything in their gallery... I'm sure there are hundreds of customers who aren't a part of the community or galleries :)
 
I know what you mean!
it happened with me a few times...but there's another thing that upsets me...in another gallery, not TLP, there's a person that puts almost each one of my pages on the favorite's but NEVER left a single comment. I really wish that we had more control on our pages, like a block and report button, so I would do this over this person.
 
We. Might have the same stalker if it is at m.s.a. I take talked with a few designers and the almost all get sales from this person. After she adds to favorites. So I try not to be creeped out as much.
 
yes, fine if the person is buying....but a bit of etiquette...you know...if the person doesn't want to share their LOs in the community or even be part of anything...the least they can do is say oh nice one, am gonna go buy...I dont know Anne, one word will suffice.....
it really, really creeps me out....

well...I think it could be the same person....if the pages turn to sales, ok! lol but I agree with Cynthia...at least one word, if this person adds all my pages to favorites, could be nice!! anyway...
 
I know who you ladies are talking about. She stalks trista too! Me not that much, maybe I should be offended. Lol!!! I agree a generic "beautiful!" Would do.
 
meh, I still think of it like the FB "like" button... or pinning your layout to Pinterest... lots of layouts get pinned to Pinterest without a word said... and then they get re-pinned and we have no idea how many times... I find it an honor to know I'm inspiring her with my layouts, after all, that's the reason we post them in the gallery, right? to inspire and hopefully help the designers sell the kits... I try not to let it bother me if they don't say anything... and just think of it like a "pin" or a "like"... at least somebody's looking lol... not every gallery gets lots of views in the first place lol
 
ypu I've had that...but never really thought about it, untill now!! LOL JK, I just thought it was weird, but if it gets sales up, no problem!
 
I never thought about the sales point of view.....

reegardinmg Pinterest...that's why I dont feel too comfy posting LOs ion Pinterest....I know is dumb to think people cannot right click and get the images posted in galleries.... but hey, I guess there isnt much I can do....LOL

let het the sale side of things as the cloud's silver linning then :)
 
I know exactly who you mean Cyn!! This same person has been the topic of conversation elsewhere as well where more people felt the same way you do. She doesn't leave comments either just adds to her favorites ;) It didn't bother me so much but one of my scrap friends was creeped out too especially since she has kids and I don't so it's less of an issue for me I guess.

It doesn't creep me out, I figure it's just like Heather says - it's like the Like button on FB. I don't always have things to say so I just Like them instead.

I also figure that if I get too bothered by people doing that, posting photos of my stuff (kids, etc) online probably isn't the best choice for me anymore. But it doesn't bother me, so no big deal.
 
Sometimes I fave a LO without commenting. I never thought about it being weird or spooky at all. :/
 
now I have this urgent desire to go and fav lots and lots of pages without leaving a comment!
think I will go for a 10 mile bike ride and get that right out of my head...
bwhahaha
 
Hmmmmm....I bet I know who you are talking about at MSA as she has favorited a bunch of my pages too. Glad to hear that at least it is leading to sales for the designers. I've always wondered about it.

Yeah, I have a person at MSA that does the same too! hmmmm..... How strange but I totally agree with what you're saying. :)
 
The scrapper who shall not be named, gemamac, favorites lots of people's pages at MSA. I've had this discussion with various groups and CTs over the last couple years.

She does have a gallery, btw, at DST where she used to post layouts (which is why her name sounded familiar to me when it first started happening to me), but the layouts are from long, long ago --- like 2005 or 2006. That is why it does not creep me out as much as it might other people.
 
It's just nice to know I am not the only person who that happens to at MSA.
