Does your DH (or BF or S/O) ever do goofy stuff to embarrass you in public?

Yesterday my husband Todd and I went running at Point Loma. We went there because afterwards we planned on stopping by the San Diego Asian Cultural Festival and look around. I knew he had brought a shirt to change into after running, but I didn't know what shirt he brought. He finished running first and by the time we met back up after I finished my run, he had changed into his shirt already.

So, we walked around the ASIAN Cultural Festival with him wearing this shirt....

I wasn't terribly embarrassed. But slightly for sure, LOL. Do you have a goofy husband/boyfriend/significant other like I do? :giggle

LOVE that he wore that shirt! :giggle

My DH does little embarrassing things in public All.the.time. Nothing mortifying per se but if you don't know he's kidding you probably would think he was a complete goob.

LOL Too funny! The older I get, the less easily I embarrass, but... um... DH is a magician and also a big kid at heart. So, yeah. Totally. :giggle

That's soooo cute! And yes....I think I married the king of Mr. Practical Joker! He keeps me laughing sometimes and I've even noticed that after all these years together that I'm getting more and more like him and even watch how I answer him sometimes as he can get me without warning!

It's good to have a little fun with each other! ;)

Mine is a nutjob to the core. He purposely *acts out* in public to embarass me I think, lol. I am much more used to/immune to it now, but at first I was mortified!! He is just loud and obnoxious, and will do things like call me the most beautiful woman in the world loudly in public. Total jokster. Life is definitely a party with him around. Its funny because he does the same thing to his mother and it drives her batty. He's such a kid. When we shop, we will constantly get comments about how well-behaved the kids are, and he always comments that he is the most unruly of the bunch.

He can be like that, but not usually in public.

In public, he loves to talk to anyone walking by. Especially when he's in line, he'll talk the leg off the cashier and whomever has the misfortune of standing next to us. He's the same way with the waiter/waitress when we go out to eat. I am so used to it (and usually dealing with Monkey) that I tune it out.

Did he get a lot of strange looks? :giggle

My DH doesn't intentionally do embarrassing or goofy things. But sometimes he eats really fast and is kinda messy, so it is kind of awful to watch. Our best man always used to tell me that I didn't have to worry about some other woman trying to put the moves on DH if they ever saw him eat.

Christine... that is so great! I love that he wore that shirt. :)

:rofl
love the shirt!!

no, my hubby is super low-key. it is his goal in life to never be noticed, especially in public. *lol* sometimes i wonder how he and i ever got together... he's so quiet, and i'm so, well, NOT. :giggle

I LOVE that he wore that. I totally cracked up when I saw it on your blog!!

My dh is not goofy at all. He loves when other people do things, but he'd never do anything to draw attention to himself.

I think Todd takes pride in finding the strangest shirts to wear. He gets a lot of them from Cafe Press. Every Christmas he gifts himself a Cafe Press order full of goofy/funny shirts. Then he trots them out when I least expect it, sigh.

And... that just gave me an idea. With my Silhouette machine I can make templates to use with fabric ink. So I can DIY some funny shirts and show him up, ha! :yesss

Great idea, Christine! His shirt rocks-- love that he wore it to the festival.
My husband is pretty shy in public but he is the ultimate goof when it comes to making our daughter laugh. Just tonight, he created the "Warm Milk Train" as an incentive to get her to finish her dinner. When she was done, he yelled out, "ALL ABOARD" then started calling out all the fictitious stops it would make, like "Vitamin D Avenue." He's like a Schoolhouse Rock Cartoon in real life. Love him.

I don't think there's a shirt you could make that would embarrass The Todd. Unless maybe you made one with a giant photo of him in his leather pants with a caption like "Bring in the Gimp!"

Even then, though, I think he'd just be proud and want one of his own.
