I saw so many beautifully decorated Filofaxes and now I think I need one...:flirty I think my favorite is the ochre Malden in personal size.
Who has one? Can you recommend it? Which size?

Have you been looking at #plannerlove on Instagram? ;)
I am a Moleskine girl so no help with Filofax, but I do love checking out decorated planners! :) I am almost always out when I need to plan things so getting something small that fits in my purse was important.

I have an extra planner from 2013 and this year I am using it. I am doing hybrid calendar pages and placing them over the existing pages. It's a great mix of hybrid, paint, and other mixed media stuffs. It's been a fun year of doing it, and I plan to do this again next year, but I plan to have some of the calendar completed ahead of time. I get stressed out trying to keep up with it each week.

I keep seeing these pop up in my Pinterest feed and want one. But I am horrible at keeping a calendar so feel like I won't get the use out of it.

I do. But it's not as fancy as I would like it. But give it time. I love looking at ideas for it on pinterest

So, I'm cheap and won't pay for the Filofax....at least not yet. A couple years ago I did use a personal size planner, but it was a franklin covey one. At the time the size was fine for me. However, now that I have more children, more responsibilities, more stuff to do, etc the personal size is too small for me. Since I won't be getting a Filofax yet I found a nice compromise for myself at Target. It is a 8.5 x 5.5 binder. I bought the DIYFish inserts and are using them. I admit I only bought those last week, but so far I'm loving them. Before that I made my own calendar pages.

I am totally in love with Ochre Malden. The color is so pretty! Last time I checked though they don't have it in A5 in the USA. Hopefully that will change because you've made me want to get one again! If you buy one let us know if you like it or not!

do people still use paper agendas/diaries? I thought everyone used iPhones/androids...
I used to have a Filofax when I was working-

I have a personal hand written diary though, gorgeous decoration, I ll try re size a photo to show you ....

has anyone found a brick and mortar store that sells Filofaxes? I have called all over and can't find any. I would love to see the different sizes IRL and hold them in my hands before I commit to anything.

But I *really* want one. ;)

I have but I doubt it helps you any since you aren't in Scandinavia.

Cyn, I tried using google calendar exclusively but I just prefer writing it by hand when something comes up. I don't like entering new events on my phone and it seems to stick in my he's better if I've written it. I know a lot of other people feel the same way!

Haha, at first my brain was thinking 'Filofax? FILOFAX? What is that?' But suddenly it hit me.
I really had no idea that still existed.
I will check out Pinterest though, cause I need me some good organization tool too. ;-) I still haven't find a (free) sync way between my agenda's...

I bought a planner one year and it was so cute and pretty that I didn't want to ruin it by writing in it. And never did. Bye $25. Yes, I'm dumb.

I had to google "Filofax".
Like Dalis & Angie, I've gotten something similar before & not used it. I don't use the calendar on my Samsung either. I think I just post the important stuff around the house(i.e. fridge, corkboard, etc.)

I know that sooooo well!

I used one when I worked and loved it but now my iCalendar that syncs with my husband's is the only thing I can maintain.

I've tried about a billion different calendar / organizational schemes! I've determined that paper just isn't my thing. But, until I got my Surface Pro, neither was computer. But NOW... different story! I love the calendar feature on the Surface (win8). I love being able to use OneNote to keep absolutely ANYTHING else that I need to keep track of. It's literally all in one place, and it's super portable, so I don't feel like I'm having to lug around a book or compromise by using my itty bitty phone screen and the somewhat limited phone options.

I love to look at people's fancy organizers and journals and whatnot. But I've tried them more times than I can count...it just doesn't work for me.
