towards the stash which you had bought but rarely used? But you just cannot resist buying them in the first place ... just cannot resist BUYING MORE.

I. Do. :p

Before I got into the CTs, I hv plenty of chances to use them ... plenty of time to use them.

But now with two CTs, my priority is with them. Then when I wanna just scrap-scrap, I just cannot resist using the CTs' products cos they are so much fun to play with. BUT .... B.U.T. So are the other designers' pdts.

My May2013's purchases have been calling out to me. Esp the Snail Mail Bundle. I am a penpal-letter-writing-geek. How cud I not pen with that??!!

Altho I did doodle on them. I want more doodles !!!

The tattered holes wanna tatter into my wardrobe, giving them that added edge I desperately needed.

I wanna take note on what to read under the rainy-shine weather. But the stoopid humid weather is twining my reading-cells into a baking frenzy.

But now there's a party in downtown which freak me out !!! Cos I know who to ask for a trip there - my 15yo-me. She'd be so cool & stylish that I wudn't look out of place next to her.

It's a good thing, I've completed one CT assignment. So I'd better work on those babies before the next assignment comes up.

Wait ... There's the Guest Polly next month !!!! That. Is. JUST. Next. Week. :faint2 I'll be so buried under so much goodies manz !!! :dizzy Buried !!! :dizzy Buried, I tell you!!! :dizzy

Nope, I never feel bad about my massive stash! I figure that I might need it someday when I'm not CTing anymore or maybe I'll forget to buy it and then it'll retire and THEN I'll need it. So, if I see something that I like, and that I could probably use someday, I'm all over buying it. Plus, all my stash sits so nicely on my tiny little EHD that I don't feel like a hoarder at all! And nobody else even knows how much I own! LOL!

I have great justifications.
My hubby whom I love and adore much, has screwdrivers in all sizes, power tools and many other tools that are not used on a daily basis, and some may never have been used.
I have flowers and ribbon and paint that have not been used...well, I pretty much slap paint on every layout so that may be a stretch!

no guilt, but the designs from 7 years back, are looking a bit well..hmm, time to go!

:rofl !! You two are BAD ... real BAD !!! :rofl You shud be saying "Yeah I understand where you're coming from. But ... "

Anne: I love your reasoning !!!! :thumbsups

I have some freebies dated a few years. I doubt I will use them again. Yet I dun think I will discard them. Cos they still look ok. But I did throw away the freebies which really cannot see daylight.

NOT ONE bit, unless I start buying stuff and NOT using it.

I tend to do the same thing . . . gravitate towards only using my CT products. But lately I've been scrapping SO MUCH, that's easy to use a lot.

Anne - I know what you mean about the older stuff. Just earlier this year, for the first time EVER . . . I (gasp) deleted some of the stuff older than five years that I knew I would never use.

I have a good stash building right now from all over and many different sites but I seem to only scrap with The Lily Pad { :yourock } things because I just :love the gallery here and don't want to make pages that I can't post here. I think that this is my problem. So yes I have 2 folders { :stash } busting at the seams that I could be using but since they were now purchased here and the designers are not here. I don't use them. I keep adding more to the folders but (insert excuse number one here)

Nope.

I rarely buy, and when I do, it's usually from either here or another store so I know I will get around to using it... someday. :giggle

I do know what you mean! I at least stopped downloading every freebie around town - now I stick to only my faves. I also have this reasoning when gorgeous new kits are released that I have to have but have no plans for - I say to myself... "I really should support this designer.. They put so much work into their kits and do so much for their fans (us).. I must buy this in support. :)

I've gotten a lot more selective about buying for this reason. And I keep a list of all the stuff I haven't used yet. I'll get there someday! You never know!

Same here... Buying selectively ... But not sure why my bills aren't going down ! May not be as selective as I think ! :) keeping a list of unused is a good idea!

I haven't really purchased a whole lot. Which makes me feel more guilty. Lol. I have purchased a few things that have gone unused. Except templates. I love em more than I should. And then I feel guilty for using them for CT LO's. I'm all torn up with guilt!!!

I also stopped downloading the freebies at every chance. Esp now I know clearer what is my style.

As for that reasoning ... it is more like "Ok, I hv been liking her style so far. So shud I grab this too?" :giggle

Yes, I do feel guilty... and I have to stop myself quiet often from buying more, when I really don't need it. Heck I could scrap a life time without running out of options. Seriously! But, sometimes I can't help myself... LOL! :-)

This is my take on it too.

Lately I have been taking a day or two after making CT pages and making pages with things from my stash I have been wanting to use. Most times I find myself going back to kits I got from my CT and mixing it all together. I used to feel bad about the amount of digi stuff I have but not anymore.

Nah I don't feel guilty at all.
In fact I still have every single solitary digiscrap item from when I started digiscrapping!! I feel guilty deleting things!! Because people worked really hard on those - even the really old freebies that are not my style anymore and are tagger kits from when I didn't know what a tagger kit was and I was grabbing every freebie ever offered because I was new and, "Wheeeee I can't believe people are giving stuff away for free!!"
I still have tons of space on my 2TB external because I am only 3 years into this and I had scrappers block super bad for 6 months of that where I scrapped absolutely nothing - but still bought some stuff, because, hey, I'm only human!! I can't resist the pretties!
I am much more selective of the freebies I download. I get ones of people I buy or people that I want to buy from. Because that is how I find new designers. Like the amazing Lilypad designers. :D
So to make a looooooong story short (too late!) No, I don't feel guilty about my large stash. I'm going to keep everything. I am a digiscrap hoarder! LOL

Agnes, you crack me up :) Nope I don't feel guilty at all. I think eventually everything gets used at least a few times. I find my digi scrapping so much cheaper than the paper scrapping I did before. I'm the same as you, I don't download as many freebies now unless I know it fits my style.
