Do you drink wine?

My sister in law has been trying to get me to drink wine with her for more than 10 years. She would buy it in a box and tell me it was sweet and it.never.was. Sigh. I just didn't like it.
Fast forward to her honeymoon last year where she toured a winery and found out she HAD NOT been drinking sweet wine. (I totally knew it! :giggle)
She finally got me to try some. It was white and sweet and smooth and delicious. :heartlub
I got my first bottle last week and it was ok. I should stick with white, for sure. It was a pink moscato. But today, I got a bottle of Cupcake Moscato d'Asti. I really like it. I like, like it.
So, do you drink wine? What's your favorite? Do you prefer a different brand?
I feel like I have so much to learn!

YES!! It's my favorite drink! I will drink anything but chardonnay.

:wine

I do drink wine. Some days more than others. LOL

I prefer red wine, usually Malbec. If want something sweet, I go for Riesling, usually Chateau St. Michelle, which is an inexpensive but tasty white.

I looked at the Riesling. I really need to go to a wine tasting, lol! I'm scared to buy something I won't like and it will just sit there. ;)

I drink wine, usually a New Zealand Sauvingon Blanc, sometimes red. I don't like sweet wines though or chardonay.

I love to drink wine. Cabernet is my favorite, but that's is dry and red, so the opposite of what you like. :giggle

We have a to of wineries around us, one of which is Tabor Hill. Not sure how far away their distribution is, but they make a white Demi-sec that is awesome. Sweet, but not too sweet. I used to throw a bottle of that in the grocery cart quite often.

I don't drink wine. Every so often I might have a glass of Riesling. Other than that, my spirits tend to be a little harder.:p

I drink wine, mostly white but I will drink red. I tend to get a bigger headache with red, though, so I try and stay away from it unless I have some Ibuprofen on hand. I was in a Moscato phase but got out of it, so now I drink Chardonnay or maybe a Pinot Grigio.

I could use a glass right now! I mostly like reds. I like Shirazz and rioja. But I'll take the white, too.

I most definitely drink wine - we live in Washington Wine Country, with over 160 wineries in a 50 mile radius! I used to be a strictly white wine girl, but I really like a lot of what I consider to be lighter reds - pinot noir, syrah, malbec. If I drink a merlot or cabernet, it has to be pretty expensive to be smooth enough for me.

If you like sweet white, you should try Riesling. My favorite is Snoqualmie Winemaker's Select Riesling. SO good, and super reasonable for price!

I drink wine as often as possible. We live near a pretty decent winery (especially for South Dakota - ha!) and Eric got me a membership to their wine club for a year for our anniversary. YES!!!

Riesling I love, Moscato I love, I can't do much for red unless it is super smooth and not very dry. Dry wines make my face pucker and it isn't an attractive look on me.

Laura, you've named one of my favorite US wine makers. Chateau St. Michelle has several really good wines...but I do love their Reisling. Also anything produced from their Cold Creek vineyard (Molly, the chardonnay from that vineyard is yummy). Reisling is one of my favorite wines, especially ones from the Mosel region in Germany. Love me some German Reisling.

For reds, I tend to prefer Italian wines. That's one of the best things about traveling in Europe, trying the regional wines. Nom nom.

I just went on a wine tasting tour in Kelowna, BC!! I am slowly getting into wine...but absolutely loved the tour...ended up buying a case of wine :giggle
The best one was this little organic winery. The owner was there, and was a little tipsy...and ended up pouring us some samples from the tank and barrels, that hadn't even been bottled yet!! His ice wine a couple years ago got 100 points out of 100...the only time ever...he sold them for upwards of $800 a bottle...and he just gave us some samples. If you like sweet wine, like I do...ice wine and fortified wine is the way to go!!!:love

yep, can't live in the Mediterranean and not drink wine.
Love white and Rose' both, but don't drink red if I can help it.
We have some pretty decent Maltese wines, but of the Italian ones Pinot Grigio and Ovieto are favourites . Or a Zinfadel (Rose) from California. uhm.
Don't really drink sweet wines because we mostly drink wine with a meal.

I do on occasion. I love Jam Jar's Sweet White (which technically is a moscato). It's my favorite so far.

YES! I love red wine!

I really like a good Merlot. I actually drink a lot of Ontario wines. The Pelee Island Merlot is actually one of my favs. I also like a good Cabernet Sauvignon. Naked Grape's Shiraz is also very good. Apparently I'm not that picky. lol! Wine isn't that expensive here but when we were in Florida we definitely drank lots. The prices in the States compared to Canada were insane! Needless to say with 4 wine drinkers there were many empties. ;)
