Do you cry at sad movies?

I'm not a cryer for movies, tv or commercials, or even books. At all. Usually the most I get is a lump in my throat. Pry only a handful of movies have made me teary, but no crying. I'm at the opposite spectrum, and always wondered WHY? I don't cry, lol! I have feelings, compassion and I'm a thinker, so it seemed at odds with my "normal." If that makes any sense? I do laugh out loud when I find something funny, though.

Maybe I'm hard core positive person? I don't annoy you, and have my snarky remarks, but I'm a really positive person. Always a silver lining. It may also be that I'm organized and realistic. I think maybe my mind goes to a solution or how to deal with the problem, and tamps down the emotion.

Man, I sound like I'm a void of a person. :giggle
This is so me. I am just not a crier at all. Choked up at times yes, but I couldn't even tell you the last time I had actual tears from being sad. I think the last time was when my dad died 7 years ago. I laugh til I cry often. My kids joke that I have no heart :giggle. I feel, I just don't cry. My daughter is the same. She is 23 and other than when she was a tiny baby, I have only seen her cry twice - once when she got hit in the face with a croquet ball, and once when someone REALLY hurt her feelings, but only briefly.

Guuuuuuuuuuuuurl, I happy-cry all the time.

I cry every time Ellen gives away something on her show. I cry at all adoption/gotcha day videos. I cry during the big reveal of a makeover show. I cry when babies are born & when siblings meet them for the first time. I cry at pet-owner reunions & when military personnel surprise their loved ones after being deployed.

It is much more rare for me to sad-cry.

I ugly-cried the first time I watched the new "A Star is Born." That was rough.

@LeeAndra Yeah I cry at these times too. Like dog reunited with owner after being lost, and kid crochets blankets for the homeless

I am such a crybaby - I've seen Apollo 13 dozens of times and every single time I still cry at the end. When I watched The Green Mile I started sobbing halfway through and didn't stop. Disney movies make me cry even.

But I also cry over commercials, over happy things, over music, so ...

I've learned to love being a cry-baby at least :-D

@blueberries Yep I can watch it once or 15 times and I will still tear up.

@jk703 Are you a robot? just kidding...lol I would love not to have o walk into the theater without having to bring extra napkins to use as tissues, lol

Yes, but I do try and hide it.
Hubby and the kids mock me mercilessly.

And throws tissues at me

Yep. And sad books, sad stories, happy ones, too. Like a lot of you I also tear up when I'm angry. Better to cry than open my mouth!

I sobbed when hedwig died, while reading the book... and at this point this should not be a spoiler...because the book is old. Sorry if it is...

Oh, yeah! That reminds me of when I'd read aloud to my kids when they were little and they wouldn't understand why a book would make me cry. Especially Harry Potter.

Oh my gosh! This is so me! Lol! I always feel like I should cry more. :giggle But I will say that over the last few years I think I'm starting to age into more of a sap. I will watch the stupid video that pop up on Facebook that are MEANT to make you cry and I'll start finding myself getting choked up... usually happy things like a miltary dad surprising a kid or something. Lol.
