My hubby's family grew up camping a ton. My family, not so much (my mom firmly believed that "flushy toilets" were a necessity. hahaa!
We have camped about once a summer ever since we got married, I have been a grumbler about it. BUT, now that we don't have any tiny babies anymore, I love camping. Well, and other than the bugs that fly in my food. We went camping this past weekend and it was so great to teach my kids some old school campfire songs, go fishing, just walking around outside together.
My kids had so much fun! we love camping!
Do you camp? Full on tent camping? cooking over a fire? etc.
we tent it (with cots for my hubby and me) (looking forward to a camper one day.)
cook over the campfire...with dutch ovens
fish, play games, go for walks, and chat.
AHHH good times!

. We have self-inflating mattresses which are great - they look really thin, but are amazingly comfy. We take electric hook up equipment if its at either end of the season or we're going for more than a few days, so we have heating.
